24.01.2022 Another happy customer: 0420Carpet Maroubra laid new carpet for me in an investment unit that I own and a tenant moved in. When he moved out last month (2 years later) there were two large stains that an industrial steam clean could not remove. To repair the carpet was going to cost the tenant money out of his bond that he could not afford to lose since he had recently lost his job. When Ian came out to quote for the job he noticed something unusual about the way the carpet h...ad worn and took a few photos. It surprised him that the stains had not come out because this particular nylon yarn was supposed to be highly stain resistant and also should not fade. Back at the office over the next few days he followed up his concerns with the company that manufactured the carpet. The upshot was that the carpet manufacturers agreed to replace the whole carpet free of charge to me (or really, my tenant). I had one very relieved tenant! I was happy on his behalf and also because my carpet did not have to be patched. I believe the carpet manufacturers have discontinued the carpet made from that particular yarn. I was impressed with the way Ian went the extra yard with my problem. If he had just gone and done the repair job I would have been none the wiser. What he ended up doing for me demonstrated professionalism (he really does know about carpets and how they should wear) and also genuine customer care (he was on my side). Thanks Ian!
