25.01.2022 The sad decline in the Aussie Christmas beetle, I was reading an article from abc about the decline of the Aussie Christmas beetle, as it says, as a kid I remember the fly screens and lights covered in those brightly coloured beetles now I’m lucky if I see one. Now I have read many pest books and they all talk about the African black beetle or curl grub, I did not realise that both larvae look the same. As much as I buy chemicals that have limited effect on worms and bees. ...I didn’t realise I was killing the Christmas beetle. Nothing I have read in books or google has said that the larvae’s are the same, I had African black beetles in my lawn which I have gotten rid of, but I don’t know the solution as to killing a pest and saving an icon. Would like to know your thoughts and opinions. Just thought I would share. Thanks Scotty www.abc.net.au//where-have-all-the-christmas-beet/10669820 www.ecoorganicgarden.com.au/problem-solver/curl-grub/

10.01.2022 On the 1st of December Tara and I started our project of moving the garden at back of patio out 60cm and new cloths line area. We have been to busy or things just don’t work out. Had a slight hiccup to our plans this morning, Tara and I originally wanted sandstone coloured pavers, but because I finished work yesterday afternoon at 2pm then went to pick up pavers the landscaping shop only had a quarter in stock, went to try other places this morning but all shut for Christmas or out of stock, so had to pull up yesterday’s work, go buy new charcoal pavers and lay them to get the job done before Christmas. It didn’t turn out too bad. still have a lot of work to do to finish our project by 6th January,

05.01.2022 G’day everyone, do you have gutter Protection or know someone who does, has it been checked lately, it could have built up silt. It is better to clean them every 2 years then wait 9 years. Sick of looking at? Let us get it done.. Scotty... https://youtu.be/YCbBrzJxBm8

04.01.2022 G’day everyone, Wanted to show you a veggie garden that Tara and I have done for a customer, I am trying something for moisture retention We used 1/4meter of mushroom compost 1/2m Reggies magic mix and tea tree mulch. From Garden City Landscape supplies. Tara and I mixed the compost and soil together, the mushroom compost is great for holding water but be careful not to over water as the roots will get water logged. ... Best way to tell if your plant needs water is to check first thing in the morning, not in the afternoon after a day in the hot sun. If your plants shows signs of wilting or leaves starting to curl give it a good deep water. Have a wonderful day Scotty See more

02.01.2022 G’Day everyone, Just wanted to say hi and give you a small run down of what has been happening since the Carona virus has come upon us. From Wednesday 25th March I have had an old friend Stephen working with me as Tara has been home with the kids. It has been a great working along side him again and I have certainly had plenty to teach him, Just a few photos of the last 3 weeks of what we have been up to... Thank you for looking Scotty and Tara

02.01.2022 Did a job at a retirement village, a paved area for the BBQ, and synthetic turf, next will be a trellis to splay the olive trees. I don’t know why designers think rock is a good idea, it is unsafe and unusable, Thanks for looking Scotty

02.01.2022 Last job of the year, helped my neighbour with his front entrance garden. Thanks Scotty..
