25.01.2022 The feeling of loneliness signalled the sort of isolation that put early humans in danger of animal attack. In the absence of passing lions, it now generates a constant, low-burning stress. 09.01.2022 Today, Glen 'Red' Henton will celebrate yet another chapter in his adventure-filled life when he turns 100 years old. Not bad for a guy who still lives on his own in his home on South Jones, still has a driver’s license and tools around town in his maroon minivan, fixes his own meals, takes no medications, and can still pull up any of his vast repertoire of jokes or a memory from decades ago.

Learn how to continue a conversation that could change a life. See more
02.01.2022 A 101-year-old internet sensation who went viral because of his youthful appearance has vowed that "happy times" are ahead, as he faces another milestone birthday in lockdown. Owen, from Cwmbran, has as much energy as somebody half his age, and says he puts it down to "working hard, keeping clean, and exercising".
02.01.2022 The key to human longevity, they say, lies in the genes of centenarians. These individuals not only live over 100 years, they also rarely suffer from common age-related diseases. That is, they’re healthy up to their last minute. If evolution was a scientist, then centenarians, and the rest of us, are two experimental groups in action.
