09.01.2022 Types of threads AR-thread An improved type with rounded threads. Thanks to the absence of sharp edges the screwthread connection is almost as strong as the rod's cross section.... 2R-thread The latest type which is equal in strength to the AR-type. The difference is that 2R-threaded rods need to be turned 3 times to tighten them instead of 6 times in case of the AR-thread. 2R-thread rods are available in 1 metre working length. Adaptor pieces between 2R-threaded rods and other types are also available. Cone Penetration Testing rods Ø45/23,5 mm Can be used in combination with the 15 cm2 cone. The large diameter is less vulnarable to buckling and therefore excellently suited for heavy Cone Penetration Tests. Ø36/16 mm Standard Cone Penetration Testing rods, used in combination with the 10 cm2 or 15 cm2 cones. The special alloy used for this rod guarantees a high strength and a long lifetime. Ø25/12 mm To be used in combination with the 5 cm2 cone. Special connectors for lengthening the measuring cable are also available for this smaller diameter. The rods are available in working lengths of 500 and 1000 mm. This type is standard provided with AR-thread. Ø16/9 mm For use in combination with the 2 cm2 cone, most commonly used offshore. Casing pipes Ø56/39 mm The casing pipe is mostly used to protect the Cone Penetration Testing rods against buckling. The inner diameter lets the CPT rods pass easily. Several accessories are available to facilitate the use of casing pipes, like cutting mouths, dirt wipers and cutting mouths combined with dirt wipers functioning as catching mechanism at the same time. Ø60/44 mm These casing pipes are mostly used for installing closed vertical ground loops. They can also be used as support casing.

01.01.2022 The Mini CPT Crawler with the well proven single cylinder HYSON 100 kN cone penetrometer, mounted on an undercarriage with rubber tracks, is designed to be as light and compact as possible. At the same time the Mini CPT Crawler is robust, as high quality materials are applied. With a weight well under 1600 kilo and a width of 780 mm the Mini CPT Crawler fits trough a doorway and can be transported in a mini van. All these features ensure that the crawler can be easily used, m...oved and transported. With a pushing force of 10 tons the Cone Penetrometer, the HYSON 100 kN-LW, is generally used for performing Cone Penetration Tests to depths ranging between 15 to 20 meters. Of course the achievable depth depends on the soil conditions and reaction force. To provide the required reaction force for testing, 2 soil anchors are used. A hinged anchoring system is provided. The CPT pusher is dismountable and can be used as a stand-alone unit next to the CPT crawler, for example when a CPT in a basement or close to a wall is required. We offer the possibility to use an electrical power pack, to reduce noise and exhaust fumes. This can be important e.g. inside buildings.
