25.01.2022 Updates have been made to the Residential Aged Care Direction in South Australia. The Emergency Management (Residential Aged Care Facilities No 14) (COVID-19) Direction 2020 has been revoked and replaced by the Emergency Management (Residential Aged Care Facilities No 15) (COVID-19) Direction 2020. This new Direction comes into effect as 12:01am on Tuesday 1 December 2020. The following changes have been made to the Residential Aged Care Direction in South Australia:... People who are travelling from a Low Community Transmission zone ( SA, ACT, NSW, NZ, NT, QLD, TAS, VIC, WA) or who were previously a Cross Border Community Member are now permitted to enter the Residential Aged Care Facility providing they comply with the following: Must not have been in a place other than a Low Community Transmission Zone for the previous 14 days; Must have received the 2020 seasonal influenza vaccine (unless exempt as per the Direction); Must not have a temperature higher than 38 degrees Celsius, have a history of fever or chills in the preceding 72 hours, symptoms of acute respiratory infection or loss of taste and smell; and Must not be awaiting a COVID-19 test result (other than in accordance with routine surveillance testing of asymptomatic persons). All people who are at a Residential Aged Care Facility (other than resident or child under 12 years of age) must wear a single use surgical mask which covers their mouth and nose at all times when in the presence of other people (unless they are eating or drinking). A person working at a Prescribed Residential Aged Care Facility with a confirmed case of COVID-19 must not attend any other place of employment during that time. This does not apply to those attending in an emergency as either as emergency management or law enforcement. *Note- the information above only highlights the changes key made and does not reflect all requirements under the Residential Aged Care Facilities No 15. 24.01.2022 Update: 12.45pm Roads are now clear after Elizabeth East crash. A child was taken to hospital after being hit by a car at Elizabeth East this morning. Emergency services rushed to Main North Road, Elizabeth East about 8.30am on Tuesday 1 December after reports a pedestrian had been struck by a car.... The 11-year-old boy was taken to the Women's and Children's Hospital by ambulance with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the car, a 45-year-old woman, was not physically injured in the crash. Major Crash Investigators have attended and are investigating the crash. All roads around the crash site were reopened to traffic just after 12.30pm. 22.01.2022 The whole of South Australia will officially be in Fire Danger Season tomorrow, with the final four districts: Adelaide Metropolitan, Kangaroo Island, Lower South East, and Mount Lofty Ranges, commencing their season from midnight tonight. 22.01.2022 Swan Reach Police are looking to tracking down the owner of a blue dual axle trailer that was seized at Walker Flat earlier this year. The blue 2010 tandem tipper trailer with a hydraulic ram is similar to a Modern brand built trailer, had stolen number plates attached and has no vin plate or vin number stamped to the frame. It is believed to have been stolen sometime before March. The trailer (pictured) was being used to cart stolen firewood which was being taken from pri...vate property without permission. Police are looking to reunite the trailer with the rightful owner, anyone who recognises the trailer or may information as to the owner, is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

20.01.2022 Police are seeking assistance from the public to help locate missing boy Julian Wheeler. Julian, 13, was last seen at the Elizabeth Interchange about 6.45pm Thursday 12 November. Police are concerned for his welfare. Julian is about 150cm tall, slim build, short brown parted on the left. He was last seen wearing blue shorts, black zip-up jacket and black and white sport shoes... Anyone who sees Julian Wheeler is asked to call the Police Assistance Line immediately on 131444.

19.01.2022 Update 7.30am Anzac Highway at Everard Park is now clear to all traffic including vehicles heading to Glenelg after a house fire overnight. Police are investigating the cause of a fire at an abandoned house on Anzac Highway at Everard Park, early this morning.... Just after 4am, on Thursday 29 October, police and fire crews were called to a two storey house on Anzac Highway near the intersection of Grove Avenue, following reports of a house on fire. On arrival, the abandoned art deco house was well engulfed in flame. Police patrols closed Anzac Highway to all traffic for both directions, while several fire appliances battled the blaze bringing it under control. City bound lanes on Anzac Highway is now open but, south bound traffic towards Glenelg is still restricted with only one lane open, so expected delays. Fire Cause Investigators will be attending this morning, with the fire currently being treated as suspicious. Anyone with information on the fire is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

17.01.2022 Are you relocating from Victoria to South Australia? Here’s everything you need to know. Travellers need to complete the Cross Border Travel Registration to ...gain approval prior and provide evidence to demonstrate genuine relocation. A person may enter South Australia from Victoria, if; the entry is for the purpose for the person genuinely relocating to reside in South Australia; the person has not previously entered South Australia under this clause; the person was in Victoria before 29 July 2020; and the person has not travelled to Victoria from South Australia after 29 July 2020. Information that should be provided to support the Cross Border Travel Registration includes; employment letter or contract, or evidence of income support residential lease or mortgage, including residential aged care facility arrangements, for a period greater than 6 months not short term holiday accommodation statutory declaration from a family member providing accommodation and support People seeking to relocate must not travel until they have received; a written approval to travel, and formal written advice specifying the travel and quarantine arrangements. The decision on where you will be able to quarantine will be determined by Health Exemptions based on your individual circumstances. Your conditions of entry will be outlined in a letter from SA Health if your request is approved. A person may be approved by an authorised officer to self-quarantine at a suitable place or in supervised quarantine at a specified hotel. Upon arrival the person must reside and remain, quarantined and segregated from other persons, at a place determined by an authorised officer commencing on the date of their arrival in South Australia for 14 days not counting the day of arrival. There is a high likelihood of a delay in travel due to availability of accommodation if you are required to quarantine in a medi-hotel. Urgent essential traveller applications for end-of-life family visits, urgent medical treatment and quarantining before attending funerals are our priority. All other applications are considered as soon as possible, but are not the first priority. 17.01.2022 Police are seeking assistance from the public after an assault at Glenelg earlier this month. About 12.20am on Saturday 3 October, police and ambulance crews were called to Holdfast Promenade after reports that a man had been assaulted. The victim, a 24-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment and his injuries are not considered to be life-threatening. ... The suspect, pictured below, is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a heavy build and short light brown hair. He was wearing a light coloured short sleeve shirt and beige shorts. 15.01.2022 Move over Turner and Hooch - a Western District patrol had a couple of extra passengers this afternoon after they found three dogs wandering the Grange area following the thunderstorms. While these two pooches won a ride in the patrol car - luckily the 3rd dog knew his way home and they were returned to their thankful owner! The front seat passenger was a constant slobberer so a quick clean was needed after the ride home.

12.01.2022 Police would like to speak to two young women who may be able to assist an investigation into a sexual assault. A teenage boy was arrested over the incident that allegedly occurred in the early hours of Sunday 4 October in the CBD. The two women, pictured in Rundle Mall about 5.20am, are believed to have been approached by the 16-year-old boy and conversed with him briefly. ... 12.01.2022 Police are seeking the assistance of the public to help locate missing boy, Kevin Wilson. Kevin Wilson, also known as Kevin Karpany, who is 10-years-old has been reported missing after he left his home address at Andrews Farm on Tuesday 24 November. Kevin is Aboriginal, 150cm tall with a medium build, black hair and brown eyes... Anyone who spots Kevin Wilson or has information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the police assistance line immediately on 131 444.

12.01.2022 Police are currently searching for Jason Burdon who escaped from the Adelaide Remand Centre this morning. Police were alerted to the incident just after 10.20am on Tuesday 1 December, after he escaped from the kitchen area of the Adelaide Remand Centre on Currie Street. Burdon (pictured) is 33-years-old and described as about 165cms, with a medium build and light brown hair. He was last seen wearing a navy blue t-shirt, navy blue shorts with dark coloured socks and work bo...ots. About 12.45pm it is believed Jason Burdon stole a black Toyota RAV4 with registration S279BBL, from Military Road at West Lakes Shore. The car is distinctive with silver roof racks and a camping awning on one side. Anyone with information on Jason Burdon’s whereabouts or possible sightings of him or the stolen Toyota is advised not to approach, but to contact the police assistance line on 131 444 or in an emergency triple zero (000).

This new Direction comes into effect as of 12:01am Tuesday 1 December 2020. . Low Community Transmission Zones Victoria has now been added to the Low Community Transmission Zone. This means there are no internal restrictions on people travelling to South Australia who have only travel...led domestically in last 14 days. ***IMPORTANT- ALL people travelling to South Australia must still complete the Cross Border Travel Registration form here: https://forms.police.sa.gov.au//Ru/Form/CrossBorderTravel/ NOTE- Essential Traveller categories do not exist for people travelling from Low Community Transmission Zones. . Overseas Arrivals Restrictions in relation to people arriving from overseas are still in place and can be found in detail within the Cross Border Travel Direction No 20, including a requirement to quarantine for 14 days after arrival. Essential Travellers now only apply to those people entering South Australia from overseas for the following categories: National and state security and governance; Commercial transport and freight services; Health services, compassionate and other grounds; Urgent medical, dental or health treatment; and Foreign diplomatic or consular staff. People who are approved as Essential Travellers under these categories (other than national and state security and governance or commercial transport freight services) MUST wear a surgical face mask for 14 days which covers their mouth and nose when they come in contact with the public. 09.01.2022 UPDATE 5PM: Roads have been reopened after a fatal crash at Paradise. Just after 1.30pm on Sunday 29 November, emergency services were called to the intersection of Newton Road and Gorge Road at Paradise after reports of a crash involving a motorbike and a car. Sadly the rider of the motorbike, a 53-year-old man from Broadview, died at the scene.... The intersection at Newton Road and Gorge Road was closed for several hours but has since reopened. Major Crash officers are investigating the circumstances of the collision. The man’s death is the 86th life lost on South Australian roads compared to 101 at the same time last year. This is the 17th fatality involving a motorcyclist this year.

06.01.2022 The goodest of good boys and their handlers have graduated from their Dog Ops courses today! Today we congratulate - PD Rusty and his handler Senior Constable Ben Fisher. Rusty is 16 months old and is Ben’s first General Purpose dog! ... PD Judge and his handler Senior Constable Levi Struthers. Judge is now 2 years old and coincidentally Levi has been with Dog Ops for the past 2 years! PD Orbit and his handler Senior Constable Bryan Whitehorn. Orbit has completed an 8 week Firearms and Explosives Detector dog course and Bryan has been in the Dog Ops Unit for 20 years! Whilst the new graduates have been operational since 12 October this year, today we formally recognise their commencement with a special graduation. Congratulations to our graduates! 05.01.2022 Police have arrested five youths after they were allegedly caught on a construction site in the CBD. Just before 7pm on Tuesday 27 October, patrols were called to a multi-storey building under construction in Currie Street after reports of persons jumping a fence. Patrols were quickly on scene and set up various cordon points while PD Judge and his handler went in and carried out a search. After about 30 minutes, PD Judge located a teenage boy on the 11th floor and a short ...time later, three other teenage boys were apprehended running from the site by police manning cordon points. The four teens aged between 14 and 16 and all from the northern suburbs, have all been charged with unlawfully on premises. A 15-year-old girl from Kilburn was also apprehended prior to the search and police will allege she was acting as a lookout. The girl has been charged with aid and abet. A decision as to their suitability for bail is yet to be made.

03.01.2022 UPDATE 6.20PM: The stolen car has been located, and enquiries continue regarding the incident. Police are seeking information from the local Mount Gambier community after a white Suzuki car was stolen during a food delivery late Sunday afternoon. Just after 5.30pm on Sunday 29 November, a white Suzuki Baleno with SA registration. S155-CGW was stolen while the driver was out of the car was making a food delivery in Ingleby Street.... The car was later recovered in Mount Gambier. Anyone with information about the theft of the Suzuki is asked to contact the Police Assistance Line on 131 444.

03.01.2022 Police are investigating after bales of wool were stolen from Tantanoola and Maaoupe in the state's South East this month. Between Monday 5 and Tuesday 27 October, 16 of bales of wool have been stolen from farms in the Coonawarra and Tantanoola area. Police ask the public to remain vigilant for vehicles transporting large bales of wool, note vehicle registrations and report it to your local police....
