12.01.2022 This week, and every week, we deeply and gratefully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live, work, play and tell stories. Primarily, for us, that is the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation; a nation with a rich history that we are lucky to live and learn from. We acknowledge that this land was stolen and sovereignty was never ceded. In honour of #NAIDOCweek, we share the making of the Gadigal Mural, designed by artists Jason Wing and Maddie Gibbs, ...with First Nations Producers Dennis Golding and Lucy Simpson for Australian Design Centre (ADC). Reaching over 25 metres long and 17 meters high, across the three-story building we are privileged to work in, the mural features curved and circular lines referencing the geographical formations of Sydney lands and waterways, as well as the paths formed by Gadigal people before European arrival. The work of First Nations storytellers and artists, like Maddie and Jason, are powerful and undeniable reminders that the land we live and work on has a history that extends for more than 60,000 years, and is a story that continues to thrive and unfold today. May we all continue to listen to this story, learn from our true history, and take meaningful actions that move towards healing. #AlwaysWasAlwaysWillBe

11.01.2022 The fight to save the beauty and diversity of the Great Barrier Reef is driven largely by the collective action of local communities and organisations who rally conservation and citizen science campaigns to protect and conserve the area. We’re reeling at the fact that these voices are given very little airtime in mainstream media, despite the power they have to engage, galvanise and inspire others to support the cause, if given the chance. Our team was flipping excited to deliver an innovative digital storytelling capacity building program to hook these local citizen science initiatives up with the skills to tell their stories effectively. Sea for yourself!

08.01.2022 Both regular fixtures of our Enterprising Stories broadcast, we love this interview between Alexie and Tom on the nature of impact enterprise in the Northern Territory. Bravo Impact Boom + Enterprise Learning Projects - ELP

06.01.2022 Not all heroes wear capes, but they do tell stories. As we see it, the pandemic recovery must first enable us to process our collective grief, fear, and isolation. Then, we need a mechanism to envision a roadmap that helps us tackle the economic, environmental and social crisis on our hands. While it might seem overly simplistic, there is an incredible superpower that we all have at our disposal to help us navigate and overcome these ‘unprecedented’ (sorry) times. And that i...s: storytelling. How are you using your storytelling superpower for good right now?

05.01.2022 There’s hardly a business around who hasn’t had to come up with creative ways to keep the doors open in 2020. And we’re no different. That’s why we’re thrilled for our online show, #EnterprisingStories, to be part of Start Some Good’s brand new platform - SSG Projects. If you love our stories, and want to see more businesses changing the world for good, we’d love your support. Visit the Enterprising Stories site and become a subscribing member today!

04.01.2022 Heneba Gutchen recently took part in our Stories for Impact bootcamp supported by the Queensland Social Enterprise Council (QSEC). She grabbed the opportunity to get behind the lens and tell the story of her family’s business with both hands and we couldn’t be more impressed with the result. The story of Kaizi’s family and their Indigenous-owned and run social enterprise, Kaizis Traditional Coconut Oil and Essential Blends, goes straight to ‘must-watch’ status for communicating the power of Indigenous Enterprise as an intergenerational holder of culture and connection.
