17.01.2022 When in Rome... or Port Lincoln The first pic is actually from Smoky Bay. Monty is the potential Chef in the family and Wesley is the very adventurous eater - he wanted lobster thermidore but settled for Oysters Kilpatrick The second pic - and I don’t usually do food pics - is from The Fresh Seafood Cafe in Port Lincoln. The cafe is also the PL Seafood Cooking School. I had fish called Nannygai (sweet lipped emperor) MAGNIFICENT! So tender, slightly sweetish and melt in ...the mouth yum! Even the Greek salad side was lovely. Bought some fresh cooked and peeled prawns for dinner and headed off out of town PL is a lovely town, we are just not very town type people and we do have to meet the ferry to Kangaroo island in just over a week

17.01.2022 After leaving Baird Bay, we continued to travel towards Port Lincoln, with a few little stops on the way at Murphy’s Haystacks, Venus Bay and an overnight stop at Coodlie Park just outside Port Kenny

16.01.2022 Warning: picture contains profanity A wee stop on the way to Uluru at Curtin Springs homestead. We were desperately hot, wanted a very ice cold drink (traded up for icy poles) and I found this.... I’m not a drinker by any standards, but I love port and I couldn’t resist

14.01.2022 After travelling back the 17kms of gravel road.. we opt for going to Baird Bay... another 24kms of gravel road... but worth it if we can swim with the sea lions tomorrow!!

13.01.2022 We pulled in for the night at Baird Bay and enjoyed a beautiful sunset TOP EXPERIENCE of the trip so far... swimming with sea lions and then dolphins These beautiful m, graceful and very playful animals are also extremely intelligent and readily play with Mick, one of the tour guides More notes on each pic

11.01.2022 Stunning Port Neill. If we weren’t a wee bit sunburned, we would have camped here for the rest of the day and just gone swimming until dark Stunning clear warmish water, soft sand and no people!!!!

11.01.2022 Sorry, wee issue with FB and these pictures should come before Point Lincoln ones This is Woolshed Caves at Talia. The tide was well and truly in, with crashing waves preventing us going too far into the cave itself,

09.01.2022 Perlubi Beach. This is it Great spot for camping and swimming with amenities and these cool shade huts... or lean to...

05.01.2022 We did stop at Streaky Bay but didn’t find anything of real interest. It has a replica 5m great white and a jetty... but mostly closed up on a Saturday arvo So... instead we headed to Point Labatt, about 60kms east of Streaky Bay. Wowser, 17kms of bone crunching, teeth rattling dirt road. I persevered as I really wanted to see the Sea Lion colony. A protected colony and conservation area To be honest, the lookout point - clearly built to protect the colony, was at the top of the cliff, therefore clarity on the sea lions was impossible. A little disappointing

04.01.2022 Tumby Bay. I would have liked to have checked out the murals around town but I had to sleeping children I did check out the silo art, and the artist did a remarkable job. I’ve taken two pictures from different angles to show how he has painted the murals behind the front ones, to ensure a completed pic
