13.01.2022 If you're an emerging artist, getting a manager might feel like the next logical step forward for you and your career, but that's not always true. Whether it be that the timing isn't quite right, or that keeping hold of the reins yourself is just a better fit your career, self-management could be the stronger option for you. But how do you know if it is? And if it is, how the heck do you do it yourself? Luckily Music NSW has award-winning, self-managed artist Fanny Lumsden go...ing LIVE on Facebook for the next instalment of SOUND ADVICE to answer these questions and more with a special focus on regional NSW. Hailing from Tooma in the Snowy Mountains, and having achieved success both with a manager and without, Fanny is perfectly placed to guide you through the rugged but rewarding terrain of life as a self-managed artist. Catch Fanny and MusicNSW Regional Music Officer Michael Simic on Facebook Live from 6:30pm Thursday 17 September and join in the conversation.
