24.01.2022 What an awesome shopping adventure we had! We grabbed a piece of fruit at the start and headed for the baking isle. Lulu and Frankie loved their pears whilst Morrie and Pops had Bananas. We made it to the baking isle and my little elves helped me to pick up all of our ingredients. We talked about the letters in the different products, and counted the isle numbers as we walked down them. We also talked about being courteous and watching where we walked to make sure we weren...t walking in other peoples paths. At the end we needed a little bit of help to find the mnm buckets, we approached a lovely cashier who said she had all the time in the world for a woman with four children in a supermarket and couldnt believe how calm the children were At the end of our trip, she raced over to our registered - wed been standing there a while because Pops and Morrie insisted on a progression line to place our groceries on the register - and handed me four tubs or Christmas Mnm packets. Safe to say we loved having a small handful of treats each once home christmas is such a wonderful time of year!

22.01.2022 Today we went for an excursion to a fellow educators house and had an absolute ball! Thanks Glenda for having us! The children loved your space and especially loved creating pine cone Christmas trees

20.01.2022 Last week, I gave my notice to the beautiful families in my service and Greater Hume Children services, informing them that I would be closing the doors to my Family Day Care later this month. A new chapter for our family awaits. I am very excited and nervous to start a new journey in my career My passion for early childhood education has always been so prominent in all that I do and Kinfolk offers everything I have always foreseen in my future within the sector. ... Though I say goodbye to many wonderful families, I take with me so much knowledge and many wonderful memories. I can not be more thankful for the opportunities I have been given and look forward to a new vision. Our final experiences will all be based around the childrens interests and create rich provocations whilst sharing lots of smiles and love for our final weeks.

19.01.2022 IMPORTANT. I am receiving notifications of emails to the page. However, they are not coming through. Please if youve made an enquiry in the past week, message the page instead. Sorry about to inconvenience

15.01.2022 Shout out to my awesome Hubby Travis for making me some shelves today. These beauties will help me to keep my succulent pups away from our dog, who seems to have taken a liking to gardening I love that I can grow my own pups and make special table plant pieces for the children!

13.01.2022 This week we welcome Misha to our service. Misha is 4 months old and is very chatty and smiley. Can you tell she is already so loved? I have many helpers throughout the day! Also this week to beat the heat we have been exploring lots of ice play, questioning why it will melt and observing how quickly it can melt in different areas of the home and outdoor environment. Check out some of the other exciting experience weve been engaged in this week!

13.01.2022 Delicious! Today we made our own ginger bread Even our littlest friends had a chance to decorate

12.01.2022 What an awesome morning we had celebrating our service. Thanks so much to all the wonderful families and of course our beautiful children, Im lucky to say they are apart of my little family

11.01.2022 Todays new experience is related to childrens interest and encourages children to talk about differences (for older children) and also engages younger children to focus on facial features whilst recognising their own reflections. As an addition after accessing how this part of the experience goes, I will be adding off cut string and loose parts for other facial features to be created whilst looking in the mirror.

10.01.2022 Todays loose parts skyscraper. Admittedly, I helped to build a solid foundation at the bottom but Quinn happily created the vision himself at the top. Though he was disappointed when we ran out of recycled tins.

10.01.2022 Ready for this weeks program! I dont know about you guys but when I step back... even I want to play!

09.01.2022 Our beautiful coordination unit, Greater Hume Childrens Services organised a Christmas party yesterday for all our wonderful educators and children to get together and celebrate another year of learning and adventures. What a wonderful morning we had enjoying a cool down with the water slide, meeting the guinea pigs and a visit from Santa, who arrived on the back of a Ute and handed out special books to all of the children

07.01.2022 Hi everyone! As you all know I love to recycle in my service and Im calling out to all families to please save me some of the following: - magazines - egg cartons... - small boxes (tissues, cereal boxes, LCM bar boxes, etc) - paper towel rolls - ice cream tubs - empty small plastic planter tubs We are headed into a New Year and my recycle tub is very bare! Im happy to collect from you! Please let me know if you can help :)

07.01.2022 Today as a STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) experience we added ice cubes to water tubs inside. I had one shallow tub, one tub with just ice and frozen animals and another tub with deeper water. I posed the question Do you think the ice will melt faster in the just ice tub or in the water? Poppy answered Im not sure. I added how about we find out, lets leave some ice In this tub, some in the shallow tub and some in the deep tub and find ou...t which one will melt the ice first We sorted the ice into tubs oh its cold said Dakota cold said Harper and its freezing!! Shouted Pops. As we watched the ice, Poppy began to explain I think its going to melt quicker in the water because it is cold and water will help it melt but why would it not melt on its own? Pops replied because the water is already wet. We continued to watch the ice melt waters cold now Dakota explained its sure is I replied. Cold Harper said as she handed me another piece of ice in her mouth. After the ice had all melted we used the animals I the water for a little while longer and then moved onto another activity.

07.01.2022 Oh my goodness! We are so lucky to be able to be involved in promotions like these. Our little service is a now a proud owner of this beautiful sorting tray. Thank you so much Educating Kids

06.01.2022 Today we had lose part playdough, I asked Ben to make a reindeer, doesnt it look fantastic?!

06.01.2022 What an awesome morning we had at the farm this morning. Watching the shearers in action sheering around 150 sheep a day!! We also had the chance to feed the chickens and pet sheep in the yards and watching Di prepare a bottle for the little (big) calf

05.01.2022 Sometimes all you need is a silly sprinkler on a hot day. Poppy and I always find fun in every little experience

05.01.2022 Our nutritional and cool lunch today. As the weather warms up its nice to not have to turn on the oven and we all love to dip our pieces into Hummus!

04.01.2022 When the bugs make a comeback. We often have an animal table set up in relation to children interests, though this weeks its because of the discoveries in the back yard! Weve become bug detectives, searching all the pot plants and dirt patches for hidden insects... Along with this, weve had many conversations about the dangers of spiders and snakes whilst practicing in our emergency evacuations - pretending a snake had hidden behind the cubby house.

03.01.2022 When your husband lets you loose in the treasure hunters store Term one we are ready for you! Watch this space

03.01.2022 Today we have updated our safe sleep plans in relation to fedral and state laws. This one is near and dear to my heart. Always be sure to provide a safe sleep environment for your children. Please have a good read and browse of the red nose website - if you have any questions or concerns about your childs sleep environment, Red Nose are FANTASTIC!

03.01.2022 Three very different takes on design your own Christmas tree. How special each individual child is.

02.01.2022 All other educators know, when preparing Home made experiences there is a lot of cutting, laminating and more cutting. I hope the children love these experiences! The smaller shapes are to sort into envelopes, I call it shape matching and the big circles are to match the paper clips; extending on our fine motor skills and colour recognition!

02.01.2022 Merry Christmas to all the wonderful families who I have had the pleasure to meet and grow with. Have a wonderful time over this holiday season, eat well and be safe. See you all in the new year!

02.01.2022 Our week has been filled with many exciting adventures. We have really enjoyed being engaged in some of our favourite experiences together. I want to take this time, to say Thank You. Thank You to all of the families who have supported my journey, entrusting me with your children and allowing me the opportunity to create a warm and educational service for them. ... Thank You, to Greater Hume Children Services and Albury Family Day Care, for supporting me along my path and accepting me as a registered Educator. Thank you most of all to my wonderful husband, Travis. Without your support and positive attitude towards our home becoming a learning environment, my dreams for the past three years could not have been met. You are so patient and caring, the children adore you and Im sure you will miss them as much as I will. Thank you everyone who has followed my journey, through comments and likes on this page. I hope you have felt inspired and enjoyed ecery minute, almost as much as I have.
