The 25-year-old remains in custody for a court appearance in December.

18.01.2022 A piece of turf from the MCG goal square has been cut out and is on its way to the Brisbane to be replanted at the Gabba -- in time for next weekend's AFL Grand Final. It is being transported in a refrigerated truck and will be cared for by a team of grass curators, transport experts and horticulturalists on its almost 2000km journey. For the first time in history, the AFL Grand Final will be played outside of Victoria this year, so the inclusion of this special piece of turf means Melbourne's home of football can still have a presence.

13.01.2022 WOMAN FINDS DEADLY SNAKE IN PJ DRAW When a woman from Adelaide Hills was getting ready for bed on Wednesday, she received the fright of her life when she almost grabbed a highly venomous red belly black snake instead of her pyjamas. Luckily, she was able to call snake catchers to remove the animal that had managed to slither its way into her drawer.... Red-bellied black snakes are listed among Australia's most venomous snakes but are not considered to be aggressive unless they are provoked. They can be submerged in water for as long as 23 minutes.

05.01.2022 Kangaroo Point residents marched local streets this morning protesting a controversial three-tower development being dubbed a "vertical cruise ship." Around 60 locals closed streets as they protested against over development in the area, citing 18 reasons against the building including serious direct environmental impacts caused by pollution, shadowing, wind tunnel effects as well as traffic and parking issues in the area. Brisbane City Council approved a three-tower, 10 sto...rey development of 200 units on the site earlier this year. A new development application was then lodged on September 8 asking for 5 more storeys over each tower, which would see 100 more units added.
