25.01.2022 Dear families thank you for coming to the campfire today. The popcorn and soup and the element of fire were all memorable. Our aim is for the learning stories to tell you about the journey of learning for your child. We call this pedagogical documentation and it informs us about what could happen next at kindy as well as a way to share the joy and wonder of learning for our fabulous 4 and 5 year olds. See you all next term.

21.01.2022 Have another look at the Welcome Day via this Burnside Council post. The sun shone on us and it was a great community feel.

21.01.2022 Busy with our hands today and everyday! Which veggies in the rainbow soup did we grow? The children made dice and they go home this week. We wonder what games about how many you and your child will come up with this holiday? Our children are becoming skilful at mentoring each other in book making. You might like to book make this holiday too!

21.01.2022 We are ready for Term 4. All things watery in our Creek to Coast Project. What will we discover as we look closely and wonder! See you all next week!

20.01.2022 We continue to explore shadows and movement this week. There is no better time to do drama than in early childhood. Creativity and confidence thrive off each other.

18.01.2022 Thankyou to everyone who turned out to celebrate with community and the Kaurna people today. We sang with pride and gusto! What a wonderful opportunity for our children to take part in their community as young citizens. Next term we have lots of big machinery and digging starting as part of the park project. Some children are going to be very happy!

18.01.2022 Mostly they know they’re good just the way they are. Wise words from 5 year olds who have read many books about being happy being you!

14.01.2022 Below the soil are worms and roots and bugs and water and stuff. Learning how to care for the soil today with Garden Girl. Recording in our field journals too, the remarkable journey we have when we are 4 years old in mark making.

14.01.2022 In 2020 The worm farm has been a great source of inspiration. What a wonderful creature the worm is and so important in soil health and growing food. Every lunch time one of the children is on worm duty. They chop up the lunch scraps and feed our worms. Our children captured their story this week. #Anotherwaytoviewouramazingworld. PS watch out for magpies!

12.01.2022 Dear families, we hope you can Come and see under the sea next week. We have been having fun with clay this week and creating many of the creatures we know live there.

11.01.2022 This term in bookmarking we have been exploring how to illustrate water. Using Pamela Allen as our mentor author, children have developed some wonderful crafting skills with movement lines and colour!

06.01.2022 It’s wheels week again at our place. Children are showing us new skills and tricks. It makes us reflect on traditions and this is certainly one that children remember long after they leave and move onto school.

01.01.2022 In nature today we found fresh water snails and interesting holes. We also found materials for patterns. We now have yerrabula purtlaitye (6 in Kaurna language) signs to sing with at the welcome day in the park. We hope children and families can sing with us at 11 am on Saturday September 26th in the park ( near cricket nets). Meet and gather at kindy 10.30 am sharp.
