22.01.2022 Hopefully this problem is contained to Victoria and we hope that this problem does not spread to other states. However the crux of the matter is that China is not accepting recyclable materials that are contaminated with other waste types (and why should they??). So as Australian citizens, if we do not take enough care to separate our recyclables from our general rubbish then this is bound to happen. We can blame governments all we like, but we need to take personal responsibility for sorting our own rubbish. A little bit of care from us all goes a long way to helping us to become a more sustainable society.

17.01.2022 We agree. As a part of the waste management industry, our business still sees too much rubbish end up in landfill. 1300 Skip Bins take the rubbish in our skip bins to a registered recycling facility but not all of it can be recycled. Anything that can be done to help separate recyclable from non-recyclable materials would certainly help reduce the amount of rubbish going to landfill. Governments need to assist local businesses to tackle the burden of waste generated in Australia by supporting recycling practices in Australia instead of shipping waste overseas.

17.01.2022 We share a lot of stories on hoarding as we see it all too often. Simply telling people to clean up years of hoarding their possessions is usually not the answer. Many people need support with tackling their hoarding compulsion. Only then is it wise to call in the skip bin or rubbish removal company.

09.01.2022 We don't like to bombard our Facebook friends with promos of other businesses but as the supplier of mobile skip bins to the ladies at Tangerine Events we thought we would give them a plug. After a very successful chilli festival last week, they are running the Twilight Food Markets at Speers Point this weekend.

09.01.2022 Good to see this problem is being taken seriously by those in power (hopefully this is a serious commitment by the government and not just an attempt to improve the polls). Despite making a living from rubbish removal, we are saddened by how much we as a society throw away each day. Any support for the recycling industry instead of creating more space for landfill is a step in the right direction.

07.01.2022 1300 Skip Bins can help you get rid of your unwanted e-waste. When hiring a skip bin, don't just throw your unwanted electronics in with the rest of your rubbish which could potentially end up as landfill. If you set it aside we will make sure it is recycled be getting it to a licensed e-waste recycle centre. Now that just has to be better for our planet.
