24.01.2022 Latest update from the AVA in regards to pets and corvid-19.

24.01.2022 our phone line is out if you need to call us - phone mobile 0400317713 - if you have an emergency and can't get through come straight to the surgery

23.01.2022 Although the NSW/ QLD boarder is closed please note that there are exemptions to this closure in place for compassionate grounds and medical treatment. This allows our NSW clients access to QLD should their pet require treatment at our practice. Should you need to visit us, call the practice on 07 5533 0381 and we can email a signed letter alerting boarder control that you’re a client entering QLD for the purpose of receiving medical treatment for your pet.

16.01.2022 Lockdown blues - are your birds screaming for your attention now that you are home 24/7? Are they interrupting your work at home requirements? Do you need some respite? Currumbin Valley bird boarding can help. We provide natural foraging opportunities, socialisation and enrichment. The birds happily settle in a flock environment. Our staff practice training techniques to minimise screaming and attention seeking behaviour and promote independence rather than codependency. Book in today for a parrot retreat for the benefit of you and your pet.

16.01.2022 Power outages have cut phone service - if you have an emergency please come straight to the surgery- or phone the mobile 0400317713 for appointments or assistance

14.01.2022 Our clinic will remain open during the Coronavirus crisis however we are implementing protocols to keep our clients and staff safe so we can continue to treat your beloved scaley, furred and feathered kids All arrivals at the clinic, we ask that you wait at the clinic door for a staff member to attend to you All animals should be in pet carriers left at the marked drop off/ pickup point to minimise contact of staff members with clients and maintain the1.5msoci...al distancing protocol We are asking that we only have 1 client in the reception area/ consulting room at a time Phone ahead of time to organise medication or food to be picked up If you have recently travelled, come into contact with someone who has been overseas or if you are unwell we ask that you don’t visit the clinic, organise for a healthy family member or friend to visit us Mr Major Mitchell hopes you all keep safe during these trying times

11.01.2022 Spring is here and the wild oats are growing. Fresh grass seed is a great source of behavioural and dietary enrichment for our dry, inland, Australian parrots (budgies, cockatiels, cockatoos). Check out our website www.currumbinvetservices.com.au and read our article Wildfood for your birds

02.01.2022 Happy Monday Hope everyone is staying s-s-safe and s-s-sane in isolation! Here is a non-essential picture of an albino Darwin python to brighten your day However IT IS essential to provide the proper care and seek out correct husbandry guidelines for our scaly friends to make sure they are in good health to live a happy life. ... If you are interested in becoming a reptile owner or already own a reptile and would like a refresh on these guidelines, now is a good time to book in at your local reptile vet. #albinodarwincarpetpython #reptilevets #goldcoastvet
