21.01.2022 Please join the LLL in welcoming Ross Smith as our incoming CEO. Ross recently made the transition from Sydney to Adelaide and it is with open arms that we welcome Ross, and his wife Nicole, into the LLL family. Appointed by the LLL Board Ross had previously been CEO of the Anglican Schools Corporation in NSW for four years. Ross is looking forward to embracing the charitable nature of the LLL in supporting the Lutheran Church of Australia.... Ross held the position of Chair of the Glebe Administration Board, which oversees a $220m investment fund for the Anglican Church in Sydney. Ross is only the fifth CEO in the LLL’s 99-year history and was preceded by Allen Kupke. We know that Allen Kupke is leaving a solid foundation in which Ross can progress the LLL into the future as we continue to assist the Lutheran Church of Australia. We wish Ross every blessing as he starts his new venture with the LLL, please make him feel welcome. #LLLAust #Financewithamission #CEO #charitable #finance #savingsaccount
21.01.2022 Promotions Manager, Andrew, was out and about in Adelaide’s western suburbs last Sunday speaking at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, Semaphore, and at Good News Lutheran Church, Albert Park. 20.01.2022 Writing a Will can be a daunting task. With 10 million Australians not having a Will means that a significant number of people are failing to adequately consider what will happen to their finances and assets once they are gone. Making provisions for family and loved ones is an important way to preserve your memory, likewise, an LLL legacy will continue to support Church projects beyond your lifetime. 15.01.2022 Saving tip: An emergency pool of money, no matter how big or small, can help you when the unexpected pops up. Consider building a dedicated nest egg for emergencies. #LLLAust #FinanceWithAMission #nestegg #rainyday #savingsaccount #emergencies #everycenthelps
09.01.2022 Today marks a milestone for the LLL; today we bid farewell to Allen Kupke as our CEO, confidant, mentor, leader and friend. Typically, Allen would shy away from being in the spotlight, so we will make it a quick but heartfelt farewell. Why? Because he deserves it. Allen has had such a deep level of passion for the staff he has mentored, the organisation he has progressed and the support given to the Lutheran Church over his 12 years as CEO.... Allen commenced working with the LLL in 1988 and held various roles before the LLL Board appointed him CEO in 2008. In this time, he has guided the LLL through a significant period of growth and the five-year transition from being a Religious Charitable Development Fund to an Authorised Deposit-taking Institution and most recently embracing change to safeguard the interest of staff and customers during the Covid-19 pandemic. During his tenure as CEO, Allen oversaw the growth of deposits from $560 million in June 2009 to $1.28 billion at June 30 this year. Allen is incredibly sincere, caring and down to earth, and for those who know him, his quick wit and sense of humour is infectious. We will miss Allen’s laugh in the office on a daily basis but wish him and his wife, Jenny, a very happy retirement with many blessings for all that lays ahead. #LLLAust #financewithamission
