22.01.2022 Are you aware that your bike's speedometer is almost certainly inaccurate? This Yamaha FJR1300's speedo is out by 710%, depending on the speed. At a true 110 km/h (note the GPS speed graph at the bottom), the bike's speedo reads 118 or 119 km/h. Most vehicles sold in Australia have inaccurate speedos which read higher than the true speed. The error varies with make and model (but cars tend to be more accurate).... To determine your bike's speedo's error: - use a GPS device - ride at a constant speed on a level road no slowing, no speeding up, no climbing, no descending - note the speedo readings when the GPS states 40 km/h, 50 km/h, 60 km/h. etc.
