15.01.2022 Centennial Mining Ltd Operational Update Production from the A1 Mine set a new quarterly record with 22,872 tonnes of ore trucked from the A1 Mine to the Maldon Mill. As a result of increased revenues, Centennial Mining was cash flow positive from Operations for the March quarter, a first for the Company. This historic milestone is the culmination of the significant effort by the workforce and management over the previous nine months. In April, positive investigative works... were undertaken to determine the feasibility of further mining at Union Hill. It’s a really exciting time for Centennial Mining, with ore production scheduled from June. The initial phase of this increase in activity will be hand held (air leg) mining in the upper levels, followed by mechanised (jumbo) decline development from the ‘1080’ level. It is anticipated that this increase in mining activity at Union Hill Mine will see the generation of local employment opportunities over the coming months. There is a long history of mining in Victoria, with many more potential resources in this part of the State. The mine presents so many fantastic benefits for the local community including an economic boost to the area. Maldon Mill has 23 direct employees currently, half of which are local residents, the other coming from the recently closed Stawell mine. Slingo’s Earthmoving is also a local company and with both direct employees and locally based sub-contractors it employs over 15 people who are dedicated to Centennial Mining Operations. Centennial Mining is committed to ensuring the community is not adversely affected by its operations. In fact, they have recently engaged a full time Health, Safety, Environmental and Community Manager who works across their different sites. Anita Macartney previously worked at WorkSafe Victoria where she was a Mines and Quarry Inspector, and worked at the EPA prior to that. Needless to say Anita is highly dedicated to safety, the environment, and truly appreciates the importance of stakeholder engagement to ensure Centennial Mining Operations are sustainable and provide lasting benefit to investors and the community. Centennial Mining are planning an open day in JULY for community members to come and see how the Union Hill mine and the mill in Maldon operate? If you are interested in attending, please email [email protected] to register.
