24.01.2022 Weekend adventures out at Lake Argyle did NOT disappoint. Both nights we were lucky enough to have a lightning display. How good was it?

23.01.2022 The one thing I'm now trying to appreciate is the art of composition in photography and the use of leading lines. "Leading lines refers to a compositional technique where the viewer’s attention is drawn to lines that lead to the main subject of the image. A leading line paves an easy path for the eye to follow through different elements of a photo. Usually, these lines start at the bottom of the image and guide the eyes upward and inward, from the foreground of the image ...to the background, typically leading toward the main subject." ~Anne McKinnell~ This image was taken 30kms out from Wyndham. The location where I needed to reluctantly turn around and head back home after discovering my fuel was to low to continue my chase. Its a series of 5 images layered into one. I think my appreciation and respect for the earth has grown to the next level after spending a couple of hours with the elegance and enchantment of this storm. See more

19.01.2022 Very excited to be going to Lake Argyle this weekend with friends and staying at the million dollar views villa. Bring on the weekend!!! 2 HOURS TO GO

18.01.2022 Ten images all rolled into one with this vertical pano I took out yonder from Kununurra. Western Australia. Where the farming country meets the epicness of nature I loved the clouds this day, all so warm and fuzzy after another stinker of a day.

16.01.2022 The other nights storm was off chops. I was driving around following it for hours. I watched 2 storms merge into one right above my head at a quiet little lookout out of town. I sat there in awe until I quickly needed to hop in the car to avoid being struck. Mother nature at her best! This pic is a composite of 5 images while sitting up at Kelly's Knob.

14.01.2022 Would you drive down this rd while this is going on? I had just driven through this coming back from Lake Argyle, and the flashes were feeling really close. But I just cranked the stereo and was praying for a chance for the rain to stop and it did! This image is a series of 5 photos taken with a 25 second long exposure over the course of approximately 5 minutes. I love the Kimberley in Western Australia

13.01.2022 Wow my Kimberley Crocodile video is gaining some views now. Gotta love a big hungry lizard. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3J8JLyjXwY

09.01.2022 Last nights little storm from the top of Kelly's Knob in the best town in Australia, KUNUNURRA! Each of these two images are taken with 5 separate long exposures and layered together. I followed this lightning nearly all the way to Wyndham to go to the top of Five Rivers Lookout, but in the excitement my fuel gauge wasn't allowing me to get all the way. Fortunately I captured a few good shots along the way. Man I love the ever changing seasons in the East Kimberley Region.... From clear blue skys and the explosive Milky Way, cracking lightning shows to the excitement of the waterfall season. Our town has it all! See more

06.01.2022 The life support for Australia. You have to respect the life of a "truckie." Would love to find the owner/driver of this truck to show them my appreciation with this quick photo I took. I do wonder what he is carting in the great agriculture lands of the Kimberley. Keep truckin!

05.01.2022 Lake Argyle, Western Australia. Last nights storm approaching the Dam wall and the hydro electricity intake tower.

05.01.2022 Here are some of my drone shots of Lake Argyle and the brilliant views we had from the villas over the weekend. We are already booked in for Australia Day 2021. Cant wait!

02.01.2022 Last nights storm rolling over the top of the dam wall at Lake Argyle Western Australia just moments before the lightning show. It was an almighty sight and more photos to prove it!

01.01.2022 Last nights view driving past the turnoff to the Gibb River Rd. This is the Kununurra/Wyndham side that cuts through the heart of the Kimberley Region to Derby. The Gibb River Rd is one of the most spectacular drives in Australia with so much to see and do. It will be a real shame when it is fully sealed and accessible, but I suppose its all about progress. This image is a composition of three long exposures.
