23.01.2022 Sunsets and beach
22.01.2022 A sight I have only seen once in 30 years, an empty campground. Not since Cyclone Fran in 1993. The park is populated by Blue Tiger Butterflies, the same butterfly James Cook described in May of the year 1770.
21.01.2022 Hi, Relating to some guests commenting that our booking system has changed. The answer is no. We have for the past 6 years opened bookings for school holidays and long weekends 12 months in advance and that remains our policy. For example when the kids break up on their first morning of the holidays we open bookings at 7am for those same holidays the following year. Thanks for your support, Des

17.01.2022 Raining cats and dogs here at the moment with 75% of the Campground unoccupied and the grass saying Thank You, or at least what grass is left after Xmas. We have 50% of the grassed areas closed for 6 weeks so by Easter we should see some nice grass about the place. Rain should get the muddies moving. Happy camping....Des

13.01.2022 Hi all, Regarding taking bookings after the tentative opening date of 12th. June, these are the reasons we can not do so. 12th. June is subject to review by Qld health. We may be restricted to a certain number of persons in the park and the authorities may stop us from opening our 2 amenities blocks, which will restrict us to campers and vans with onboard toilets and showers. We would not like the task of contacting bookings and telling them they cant come.... Watch here early June for info on opening date and restrictions if any. Thanks Des See more
13.01.2022 Our NEW Saltwater cafe with new lessees is open and guess what..they open at 7am for coffee and breakfast...way to go guys.
12.01.2022 WE ARE OPEN as of Tuesday 2nd June. No notification from Qld Govt that they changed the date from 12th June, just a Health webpage that I monitor released last night stating we can open at midday today Monday. Madly cleaning amenities and grounds today getting it ready for you guys. 4 metre per person rule does not apply to us just social distancing and good hygeine. Rest assured we have a very intensive upgraded cleaning regime in place over and above our already best pract...ice. See you soon Des See more

08.01.2022 To all our valued customers. Our phone line is not down or out of order but just ringing non stop. We ask for your patience after we have been closed for 3 months and are now logging hundreds of calls daily. Our email was suspended by TPG for too many incoming emails clogging the server and has been shut down. It will be up again soon. Thankyou
06.01.2022 Hi to all our loyal camping family ! Keep an eye out here for when we will be open to tourists again..... at present we can only take "no fixed address essential travellers, tradesmen and backpackers looking for work." Stay safe and looking forward to a normal world...Des

02.01.2022 Hi, to those wishing to know when we will be open, please listen for Qld state government announcements re caravan parks and camping grounds reopening. We are not allowed to operate until the state gives us the green light. Could be weeks or maybe months, hopefully soon !! Stay safe,... Des See more
