25.01.2022 Good morning happy people I hope you all had a great weekend. Its back to reality tomorrow...time for us to get organised! Ive pumped out some bunting for yesterdays Aggie88 Grassroots Festival and of course the 1770 Festival but we need lots more. AND WE NEED A LOT MORE FABRIC!!! So peeps...go through your cupboards, your friends cupboards, your in-laws cupboards, op-shops,......cotton sheets, curtains (not the thick ones - we wanna see the colour/print on both sides),... table cloths... anything really. Let me know what you gather. Once weve got enough well have two morning sessions at the boom shed (Georgia from boomerang bags will kindly let us use her cutters and sewing machines ) and hammer out a few hundred metres of bunting! Absolutely ZERO sewing experience required. Itll be two Wednesday mornings, 9 -12, aiming for 20th and 27th of February. Give me some feedback! Cheers Bina See more

The help is creative and fun so please inbox if you can and we will get a group email happening. We need donations of Large Flat woods, or even doors... anything wooden preferably light weight that can be painted and a hole cut out. Surfboards, broken or old ones that you no longer want.. we would love! ... Paint if you have spare that can be used. See more

20.01.2022 Happy new year everyone! Xmas is done and dusted and were already a week into the new year...time to roll up our sleeves and get our creative mojo on. Weve already started collecting material, worked on some boards, started with the framework of some festival lanterns and done heaps of brainstorming...so its time to touch base, get the word out for more creative volunteers and get together over a cup of coffee and make a plan! Wed love to meet with everyone who is intere...sted in being involved and would like to contribute in one way or another. 19.01.2022 WHAT AN EPIC WEEKEND!! There was so much to do over the whole weekend at the Gladstone Region 1770 Festival. Heres a little wrap up for you if you missed out.... 12.01.2022 Hey guys. Bina has been super busy with Rayne making and sorting so much cool stuff for the festival. Theres some small things left to do if you want to jump in and help this last week. Next week we will also need people to help set up on the Friday and pack down on the Sunday! Friday morning during school hours, and Sunday after 3/4pm... You will be given a wrist band for free entry and we will be grateful for the helping hands

Ive got a fair bit of material but the more the better. So rummage through your drawers and baskets and bring anything sparkly, glittering, fake flowers, ribbons ... anything you can think of that would be great to embellish

02.01.2022 Getting there..... Weve got 11 new lanterns...thanks for everyone who came over the last few days and gave it a crack. Watch this space - Ill have the table, tools, wire, glue and paper set up most days over the next week. Aiming to paint/spray paint ALL lanterns by the end of next week. Timber signs for the sign posts will be available for collection tomorrow afternoon, they can be painted/drawn on individually at home in your own time...aiming to be dropped back next Mo...nday week so we can varnish them when we paint the lanterns!
