22.01.2022 It's been a feathery kind of week. With some high winds our beaked friends have been staying grounded. How many of these species can you name? Agnes Water & Town Of 1770 BirdLife Australia

21.01.2022 Fancy an office with a view? This is one position that doesn't come up very often...

15.01.2022 As you all know we have been super busy here at 1770 LARC! Tours. So much so that we have expanded our LARC! family. So without further ado please help us in welcoming... the one... the only... KEV!... We are very excited to have another local, happy and familiar face on the team. Kev greets everyone with the warmest smile, his positive attitude is infectious and we are 100% certain he's perfect for his new LARC! role. Kev has spent his first few days at work sandboarding, beaching, entertaining and brewing billy tea. What a life huh?

14.01.2022 HEEEEEEEY! Ain't he just the cutest. With a face like this, it's easy to imagine our LARCs as Pixar characters in the Disney movie - Cars What do you think?

14.01.2022 And it begins.... We don't get a lot of traffic out here. But when we do it's of the best kind and we really don't mind stopping. Who knows what made these tracks in the sand? ... Bonus points if you can tell us what species? Agnes Water & Town Of 1770 Visit Gladstone Region, Queensland Visit Queensland, Australia

12.01.2022 What do you want to be when you grow up?... A LARC! SKIPPER Unfortunately we can not employ Jonah as a skipper just yet. Even if he is stealing the hearts of everyone here at the LARC! base.... However LARC!man Neil has agreed to let Jonah have a crack on the wheel and show him the ropes next time he's holidaying here at Agnes Water & Town Of 1770.

11.01.2022 Oh dear. We have no power until 1pm today, which unfortunately means we don't have a working telephone. If you need to contact us please email us on [email protected]

08.01.2022 Sometimes the lighting is just too good to resist. We feel privileged to be operating these two hardworking amphibious machines from the 60's. If only we could all age as well as a LARC!. Agnes Water & Town Of 1770 ... Visit Gladstone Region, Queensland See more

08.01.2022 Happy Birthday LARCman! That's right, our fearless leader, Neilo is celebrating another lap around the sun today. So if you see him LARCing about give him a shout out!

07.01.2022 Our slice of paradise is what dreams are made of. Pictured here crossing over Jenny Lind Creek from the Bustard Headland it's no wonder why our Paradise Tour is named as it is. Agnes Water & Town Of 1770 ... Visit Gladstone Region, Queensland See more

07.01.2022 During our 26 years of LARCing around, we have always been grateful for the ongoing ‘word of mouth’, referrals, recommendations and sharing of LARC! love And we like to do the same. So here’s a shout out for our friends at Lychee Divine who now serve cheese platters and wine, as well as their delicious homemade ice creams and sorbets Check them out online and pull off the Bruce Hwy at Tinana south for a visit

07.01.2022 The closest we can get to flying - Sandboarding on our full day Paradise Tour. These towering 35m sand dunes turn into our playground. Choose your level and slide on down! You can opt for a dry slide or at high tide, skim across the clear waters of Jenny Lind Creek. Gotta love our back yard! ... 04.01.2022 What makes 1770 LARC! Tours different from other amphibious tours? - We like to show the full capabilities of these amazing machines. With hill climbs, splashdowns, tackling multiple terrains and wave surfing (Wyanda's favourite ). - We venture to secluded locations with the National Park on one side and Marine Parks on the other. ... - Local guides provide fun and entertaining commentaries on the history of the area, the wildlife and culture. - We have exclusive access to the historical Bustard Head Lightstation. - Family owned and operated for over 26 years!

01.01.2022 We think this Beach Stone Curlew was hoping for instructions on how to build it's nest in the sand dunes. However our LARC team have put these notices in place to let everyone know that it's nesting season. And hiding, perfectly camouflaged, above the high tide mark are the nests of many endangered bird species. Agnes Water & Town Of 1770 ... BirdLife Australia Queensland National Parks See more
