25.01.2022 Oops typo - we come back to fencing on Tuesday the 6th of October!

24.01.2022 https://www.qld.gov.au//co/current-status/contact-tracing Updated alert list.

15.01.2022 From SCFC - To our current and new fencing followers: Fencing returns on Tuesday the 6th October. 4-6 pm for regular training - warm up, drills, technique, competition. Various fencing programs, activities run by coaches. Tewantin State School in the Hall. Bring your own electrical and non-electrical gear. Return of Saturday fencing from 8:30-10 am on the 10th of October. Come and fence electric, or non-electric. Bring your own gear. Student driven - self-managed training (sa...fe and respectful conduct expected at all times. You come to fence - be organised and motivated. You might also get to fence the coaches!). There will be two Saturdays with no fencing - Saturday the 31st October - hall is booked out for the election. The other Saturday is a school booked event. Date TBA. Beginners and refresher 10 week course for new fencers: Starts Tuesday 1st October. 4-5 pm. One hour of training the foundation of fencing techniques, moves and prepare for competition. Course highly recommended for students fairly new to fencing to avoid bad habits becoming set. Anyone that has started this year and hasn't done a proper Learn-To-Fence-Program (LTF) would benefit greatly. If you would like to refresh your skills, or correct your fencing you are very welcome to join. You will not miss out on joining the rest of the class, you re-enter the regular class from 5-6pm - in time for competition! The format for Term 4 is - come and fence and increase training. We have opened up again on Saturdays to facilitate this, without extra cost to you. The time frame is large enough for everyone to make the most of it, even if you can't arrive at 4 pm or 8:30 am - there is still plenty of training time. Please come ready and organised, always with water and in training gear. Current distancing rules and general covid 19 rules still apply. Total fees for everyone for T4 is $150. Family discount applies - please come and ask. For beginners - please contact us if you are interested so we can organise the equipment. First Tuesday back is a try out day. If you decide to continue you will be required to get your own training set. Any question, please send us a message through messenger. For continuing fencers - thank you for having paid for you training set which means you're all set to go for term 4. If you have a training set, or parts of one please have this paid for before Tuesday, so we can officially sign it over to you. Any questions please get in contact with us. Warm regards and thank you. SCFC
