23.01.2022 We have had an exciting weekend and it's not over yet. We did several launches Saturday despite the poor weather but Sunday dawned with 5 gliders spilling out of the new hangar to join another 4 behind the tug. Nice cu to 8000 provided lots of fun with up to 400km recorded. The fun continued today with 3 more launches and a powered run to Cowra. We plan to fly through to Wednesday before the weather changes.

21.01.2022 Lots of flying again today with Nathan flying over 400km in his Std Cirrus and several 350km flights. Speeds were good too which is great to see. Others flew more locally. Scant Cu at Temora but the Cu looked (and was) great north and west. Congrats to Robert who converted back into the Club Libelle after quite a break from it. The photo was of the last few remaining to launch. Thanks Mike and Guy for towing.

20.01.2022 A touch of mid week flying. First the Pawnee tow plane headed off to Tocumwal for annual maintenance then Mike assisted Grant into the air behind his Scout and Scott self launched in the Grob. It was nothing like the forecast conditions but its always fun. Many thermals were marked by eagles or kites and today they were friendly. It was a very buggy day as seen in the photos of the leading edge only an hour into a 2.5 hour flight. Towing out we taxied past one of the Museum's Spitfires and there's a photo in the mix of Mike's wombat pitot tube cover.

17.01.2022 The weather today was just right for an evaluation flight after the annual inspection. As usual the forecast was wrong but it was actually better for once. Occasional climbs pushing 7kts and cloud base up near 9000ft. Had to run out East to follow the scattered clouds but it still worked in the blue on the way back. Roll on summer.

15.01.2022 Here are some stat from this week. We flew 8 out of 9 days. VH-PXI launched 42 gliders and climbed over 95,000ft in just over 5hrs. Thanks to all our tug pilots.

12.01.2022 Average blue day but made great by sharing thermals all the way around a 200km task. Bernie Tim and Scott managed our turn points to stay together on all legs. 30min after this photo the new hangar doors were being closed. The tracks are working great.

10.01.2022 Good warm up for the weekend. Tim Scott, Graham, Alan, and Scott all took off expecting a day full of Cumulus. We were a little let down early in the day but climbs to 12,000ft kept smiles on the dials. An easy packup into the hangar topped of a great day.

09.01.2022 Nice day - Cu at 7,500' to the east and over 1000 km flown cross country. Training early with Jackson, conversion to the Janus for Les, an Air Experience Flight and six other members flying. The runway almost looks European with complete ground cover!

09.01.2022 A few travel photos from a trip to Camden today. I did actually do a little bit of thermalling on the way out to Warragamba so it counts as gliding.

08.01.2022 Big day out. Started early with some Janus flights resulting in Robert having another solo and Guy soloing again after over 30yrs. In a nice twist he was towed aloft by Lloyd who was first sent solo in power by Guy! Later we launched 5 pilots in 3 gliders into the sky which was forecast to storm out. Before that happened we managed to climb over 10,000ft and push into the 20kt winds to the west before being forced home by the dust front.

05.01.2022 HUGE congratulations to Jackson on his first gliding solo! Well done!! In the afternoon others flew locally and some 300+km cross countries. Not quite as forecast but always fun! Have a look at the OLC with Brian leading the Temora pilots today.

04.01.2022 Saturday was a no fly day with the Temora Aviation Museum hosting a Showcase weekend for their aircraft and the weather turning to some solid rain during the late afternoon. Sunday promised much better and three launched after the Museum finished their display flying shortly after 2pm. Nice conditions up to Cu around 5,000'. Nathan out flew Grant and Tim on the OLC with close to 200km in a couple of hours.

02.01.2022 Painted another glider trailer this week. Think the results have come out pretty good. At least visitors should be able to find me a bit easier.
