25.01.2022 Blackwood classic 250 for 2020! 3 days of racing starting Saturday. Water levels are good. Let’s go Tyron Wilson

24.01.2022 Blackwood 2020 excitement bits! We finished 2nd after a hard fought battle with 007 Prosser n Pez and 166 twodogs n lee MASSIVE thanks to race directors Twodogs and Emma Williamson and Roland Turner for putting on an awesome event. It was seamless. Big thanks always to our support crew Rebecca Smith, Sarah Blake and mud kids. Also big to champion deckie Tyron Wilson. You’re a gun mate. I had a blast. Can’t wait for rivers in 2021

21.01.2022 The old boat is ready for the Sunnyside race in Bridgetown this weekend! Looking a bit sad after last minute repairs but should still go ok. The team has really missed being on the water and can’t wait to go for a river blast again!

21.01.2022 After school boat racing videos... then comes the re-creations!

17.01.2022 No Avon Descent this year... jumping Williamson Weir with Dad as my decky in 2016 is still one of the highlights of my racing days. Can’t wait for Toodyay dash!

15.01.2022 Dear Covid 19....

14.01.2022 2020 has been a bad year for boat racing... but racing must go on. Max and I have been having some battles on the CRF110’s on the farm. At 7 years old, Max pretty much has his old man stitched up.... but not quite

09.01.2022 Such a good weekend at the sunnyside sprint! Tyron and I taking some sporty lines in the opening minutes starting from grid 7!

08.01.2022 Bit more footage from Toodyay, Dash a few weeks ago with the Power Dinghy Racing Club of Western Australia. This is practice day, wetheral to the end of the 2nd set of trees. It was our only run for the day and we were using our race day equipment. Was pretty keen not to bend anything so it’s not full send race day pace but still good fun. Would have loved to have raced this section.

07.01.2022 Another mega weekend away with the Power Dinghy Racing Club for the sunnyside sprint in bridgetown. We were in 3rd place at the upstream turn around and had some work to do. By the time we crossed sunnyside oval, halfway point on the way back to bridgetown we had made up the lost time and there was seconds within the top spot. The next 16km into Bridgetown we held our place but a small mistake into the last thicket cost us a chance of our first river win, finishing 2nd by 43 seconds. Here is some footage of the downstream run! Check out the other videos of the race on the 190 Racing team page

06.01.2022 This was a good day. First Avon for team 190. Finished day 1 in 3rd in class after starting dead last! Looking forward to 5th Avon descent in 2021!

06.01.2022 Getting some paint on the old war horses in preparation for the Toodyay Dash next weekend. Still need some rain but remaining hopeful!

06.01.2022 It’s nearly that time of year again. Limited preparation will add another layer to the challenge for 2020.

05.01.2022 Trying to navigate a bodyboard through inch deep water doesn’t always work out! Here is a little clip from the Ti Trees on Saturday practice. Bit of discussion about planning for race day between Tyron and I.

04.01.2022 The Basin sunnyside 2020 Thanks for the video Amy Pascoe

04.01.2022 Yesterday was the Toodyay Dash that the Power Dinghy Racing Club of Western Australia organised in record time after the Avon Descent was cancelled for 2020. Ronny and I had a solid practice day on the Saturday and ran the shortened course on Sunday. We had a good run and thought we’d done enough at the finish line but when the results came in we’d been outdone again by the 007 crew of Prosser and Pez by 26 seconds this time.... big congrats to them. Getting closer! Here’s some more action from the weekend on the Avon River. Super low water and a Toodyay, Western Australia flyby.

03.01.2022 winter testing for the river race this weekend! Cracking day.

03.01.2022 Another one for the full throttle files. Pushing hard to try chase down 166 Twodogs Boyup Brook to Winnejup. I haven’t raced or seen this part of the river before so was a bit of a moment but worked out. Ronny relaxed as usual and doing a killer job.

03.01.2022 Low water today from Boyup brook to Winnejup. Not many options for passing... trying to make something happen!

02.01.2022 Big skeg hit where the tiller pulled out of my hand and went to full lock. Thought I was swimming but the tiller handle locked under my arm and saved me from falling out. About time one of these went our way.
