21.01.2022 5 Cadets spent their Sunday representing 1932 (Blackhall) Sqn at the Durham Northumberland Wing Air Cadets Climbing competition! The team consisting of: Sgt Kelly, Cpl Beach, Cpl Korucu, Cdt Morrison and Cdt Walker all gave their best effort on the indoor walls, and had a great time doing it! Well done!
17.01.2022 On Thursday we had a very interesting night! We had a visit from the Padre and a member of the local Police force. The night was split into two halves, with a Padres hour for the first and a Q&A from the Police in the second. Everyone came away from the night learning something new. ... We look forward to the next visits! Durham Northumberland Wing Air Cadets
16.01.2022 Happy ATC Sunday! Cadets from 1932 Blackhall Sqn attended our local St Andrews Church for a service this morning to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the Air Training Corps. Durham Northumberland Wing Air Cadets
14.01.2022 What a fantastic start to the sporting season for FS Fishwick, who has recently represented North Region - Royal Air Force Air Cadets at senior netball. FS Fishwick was the only cadet selected from Durham Northumberland Wing Air Cadets to make the journey to RAF Cranwell to play. We are all proud of her achievement! #WhatWeDo
13.01.2022 Start collecting your Green Token’s! When at the checkout in Peterlee Asda make sure you ask from some Green Tokens. From January 2020 when leaving the store, make a vote by placing your green token in our nominated slot. ... Once the vote has closed the tokens are added up determining 1st, 2nd & 3rd place. The organisation in 1st is awarded 500, whilst 2nd and 3rd receive 200 each. We would be grateful if you could help us strive for 1st!
11.01.2022 Yesterday FS Alderson attended her last duty with HM Lord Lieutenant of County Durham Susan Snowdon. And what a duty it was! FS Alderson assisted the Lord Lieutenant on Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal Anne's visit to Hartlepool to mark the start of an ambitious redevelopment of its tourist attractions and the surrounding waterfront. FS Alderson is incredibly proud of what she has achieved as LLC and this is a fitting way to end her duties. Her favourite duties being yes...terdays and the Festival of Remembrance at Durham Cathedral where she lead all of the cadet forces in a parade and read the kohima epitaph. Sadly all good things must come to an end and on Tuesday it is time to for FS Alderson to hand over the reins to the LLC for County Durham to another cadet. FS Alderson has been a credit to 1932 in her role as LLC. A huge well done from everyone here at the sqn! Durham Northumberland Wing Air Cadets
10.01.2022 We’ve started 2020 off with a bang! 8 cadets from 1932 Sqn joined others from Durham Northumberland Wing Air Cadets at Marne barracks for a day of clay pigeon shooting! Each cadet got the chance to fire shotguns and are looking forward to the next shoot. Special shout out to Cdt Poole who ended the day as the top shot, hitting a total of 11 clays out of 25 Brilliant effort by all
10.01.2022 Last night we did something a little different for a parade night. Staff and cadets visited County Durham & Darlington Fire & Rescue Service station in Peterlee. The green watch staff gave cadets a tour of the station, fire engines and equipment. Some cadets got the opportunity to use the stations VR headset showing them the consequences of distracting drivers, then to end the visit we got to have a very interesting Q&A with some of the station staff.... We look forward to more activities with the fire service in the future! #WhatWeDo #EducateAndInspire #FireFutures
