25.01.2022 Looking forward to a mouthwatering browse through. Love Beerenberg product. Always to be found in the 1965 pantry!

23.01.2022 Lovely to welcome the neighbours back ... :)

22.01.2022 Photoshoot at 1965. Sweet!

20.01.2022 If you like the style of 1965 Lobethal, you will love these shopping experiences.

20.01.2022 We highly recommend a visit to the Virtual Gathered Design Market this weekend. 1965's retro car, Carol was a guest at the Re-Gathered market held in Lobethal in february and she had a fabulous time promoting our (on hold due to COVID19) wine tours. The Gathered Market folk have had a challenging time, with their Lobethal Christmas market cancelled due to the bushfires and now their April market impacted by the pandemic....but as they say when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. They are turning the situation around with a virtual design market and it promises to be fabulous!

19.01.2022 How much do we love this? Cider masterclass online... we love it lots!

18.01.2022 A gentle, uplifting reminder. This is a promotion from the Riverland with an important message. It's also a reminder that this too will pass. In the meantime 1965 is not accepting bookings. We look forward to unlocking the orange door for guests when the current challenge is over. Stay safe all Kim and Sam x

18.01.2022 Love our neighbours at Lenswood!

16.01.2022 1965 is proud to be one of the 240 ...

15.01.2022 What a fabulous idea!

15.01.2022 We love a good road trip, even if it is just through our 'back yard' ....

15.01.2022 We so enjoy reading the handwritten notes our guests leave us in our Guest Book. It's nice to find out what people enjoyed the most about their stay. For recent guests, John and Linda it was the Scandi vibe and playing the house guitar. Thanks for the lovely review guys x

14.01.2022 There can be no greater accolade in the context of a pandemic than ... '' ' thanks Tina :)

14.01.2022 We will miss our lovely neighbour Josh over the next few months... but look forward to an awesome G&T at the long wooden bar when he reopens post pandemic. Go well Hugel team.

13.01.2022 This is our local. Gotta love life in the country!

12.01.2022 Last weekend these lovely folk finally arrived at 1965. Jim and Pauline had booked to stay in May, coming down from Queensland to visit the Adelaide Hills and support local businesses that have had been fire affected. And then along came COVID! Rather than just cancel their stay, they rescheduled for 6 months time, which we really appreciated. But there is something else that makes their story special too ... the couple were our 100th guests, a milestone to be celebrated! Thanks Jim, Pauline - safe and joyful travels home.

12.01.2022 We' re excited!

10.01.2022 Something to share with your Valentine... This may be more your Valentine's Retro Style. https://youtu.be/BERd61bDY7k

10.01.2022 Winter Reds not cancelled but different. Good news.

08.01.2022 Polish off the armour and steam clean the long frock! We are still free - why not spend a weekend time travelling. Back to the 60's and then keep going until you reach medieval times, just 10 minutes drive away. You won't even need a tardis!

08.01.2022 It's so great to see our local businesses maintaining a sense of optimism about the future and moving in new directions despite the 'interesting' times we are living in. Looking forward to checking out the range of vintage inspired items from Lazybones at our local Hunted Home and Vintage, on our Main Street Lobethal. You can too when its safe to travel again.

07.01.2022 Planning a weekend getaway? Fancy some wine tasting? We've put together 4 fabulous self drive loops visiting some of our favorite spots close to 1965 for our guests to enjoy. Take a peek at the maps, look at our 'Visit' page for details and then plan your mini road trip. https://www.1965lobethalbnb.com.au/itineraries/

07.01.2022 One of our favs ... and on the list for a visit in Carol our 1965 Chrysler for lunch!

06.01.2022 So excited to see 1965 Lobethal is the feature photo on the recently released 'Come for a Sleepover' page of the Adelaide Hills Digital Visitor Guide. Our lounge room does look cosy. Thanks Adelaide Hills Tourism ... so looking forward to welcoming our guests back. #adelaidehills #WelcomeBackSA #visitadelaidehills... https://adelaidehills.partica.online//towns-accomodation/c

06.01.2022 Bookings are now available through our AirBNB listing once again. Strangely we first went live for online bookings through AIRBNB 2 years and 2 days ago. Happy 2 year Anniversary to us on thursday!! We've been refreshing our own website too - more soon.

06.01.2022 As the (young) man said, 'the times, they are a changin' ... 2020 has been a challenging year so far and we have been quiet in the crowded online space. But now we want to let you know that we are busily working on some changes to 1965 to enable us to host guests safely and hope to be unlocking the orange door very soon. By the way, 'the times they are a changin...' released as the title track of his 1964 album of the same name. Dylan wrote the song as a deliberate attempt... to create an anthem of change for the time. A call to action for a generation. https://youtu.be/90WD_ats6eE

06.01.2022 We always receive very positive reviews but sometimes they touch our hearts as well. The addition of a polaroid pic to our guest book showed that Cameron and Brig really understood, enjoyed and appreciated the experience we work so hard to create at 1965. Thankyou both. Sometimes small gestures can mean so much.

05.01.2022 So proud of our Emma and Ivy cafe ... they certainly do have style!

04.01.2022 Slowly slowly the Hills are awakening.

03.01.2022 A Destination BnB for people who love mid century; retro and nostalgia is how we have always seen 1965. Great to know we are 'on trend' according to a story in the travel Section of the Weekend Australian last Saturday :)

02.01.2022 In 1964, my mum stepped off a plane from the UK in a pair of pointy toed black stilettos, carrying her first born. As do all migrants, she left behind family, friends and all that was familiar for the unknown. She bought with her resilience, humour and the ability to see her glass as half full rather than half empty. She was one of many people swept up in a huge wave of post war migration. Her suitcase contained few possessions, but it was full of her strength, dreams and m...emories. Thanks Mum. xxx And to Mothers everywhere ... Happy Mother's Day. May you hold your loved ones close.

02.01.2022 Winter in the Adelaide hills is wonderful BUT so it spring! A big welcome to Spring 2020 today.

01.01.2022 We support local business whenever possible. Always Tweedvale Milk in our fridge. So proud to be able to offer such good quality local product to our guests. Well done Tweedvale.
