25.01.2022 Occupational Therapy Services at Invermay Allied Health - Changes to service delivery due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) Due to the current situation with Coronavirus (Covid-19) in order to practice social distancing to keep both clients, staff and community safe and healthy, the Occupational Therapy staff at IAH will be moving to deliver services online in the near future.... This type of service delivery is already well recognised and is supported by Occupational Therapy Australia and the World Federation of Occupational Therapists. The videoconferencing platform Zoom will be utilised, It can be easily downloaded by googling Zoom.us/download and choose the download option for you. You will then be added to make an account, It is free and no credit card details are required. The OT staff will send you a Zoom link the day prior to our appointment which you click on to join the meeting on the day and time of your appointment, If you have any problems, please call your therapist to assist with the process. Leiemma 0478 613 593 Hayley 0400 516 089 Alternatively consultation via phone can be provided if preferred. Due to the necessary change in delivery mode, additional evidence-based intervention frameworks will be utilised. These include: - Occupational Performance Coaching - Home Program Approach - Remote Counselling These interventions will enable ongoing, high-quality Occupational Therapy service delivery in a safe environment. We will coach parents to help their child learn new skills for current and new goals, with targeted, goal-focused home program tasks set over a series of sessions. Counselling sessions will continue as per usual just with a different location. We do not want our families to become socially isolated during this difficult time and hope you can join with us and try to continue "therapy as usual". We also need our businesses to stay afloat so we can continue working with you when all is back to normal. Think of it as a new adventure! Say healthy and safe Leiemma and Hayley

12.01.2022 Due to the escalation of cases of Covid 19 in Tasmania this will be our last week of clinic or community visits for both Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy Services. We have commenced discussions with most of our clients, if you have not had not contact from us as yet it will be occurring in the coming days, or you can call or email us to discuss directly. We have conducted a number of online sessions via Zoom over the past week, which have run smoothly and we are well... prepared to continue to provide therapy to both children and adults through the months ahead (albeit from our homes !) We have a number of evidenced based parent training programs (e.g., Hanen It Takes Two to Talk or More Than Words) that are easily adapted for online delivery, and most of our therapy activities can also be easily adapted with a little pre- planning. We will send you an email with session materials, activities and a Zoom meeting link prior to your session. You will just require a laptop, tablet or phone. Let us know if you need support with set-up of technology, we are more than happy to help. We hope you can continue to support us during this time, to both ensure continuity of care for our clients, and to help ensure our individual businesses as sole traders can remain viable in this time of uncertainty and into the future. Stay safe everyone and we look forward to seeing your smiling faces on our screens soon! Our thoughts and regards, Greer and the IAH team.
