20.01.2022 Hi sorry I’ve been a bit MIA, Just a quick note and a reminder to keep your pets flea and tick treatment up to date, With how crazy things have been I was 1 weeks overdue on Kittens flea a tick treatment ( Bravecto), this was enough for her to get bitten by a Paralysis Tick and then get the deadly start of side effects. She is now thankfully ok and recovering well thanks to the amazing staff at Yeppoon Veterinary Surgery, Please check when your pets are due and don’t leave it

18.01.2022 Now that Spring is here and Summer is a just a few barks away, lets make sure your pets coat is up to scratch With the warm weather comes the busy season. Please try and book in advance with your groomer to secure the date and time that most suits. We have very limited spots for the next few mths, so please be patient if you are waiting for a spot to open up to groom your pup, Regular customers will always take priority over all enquiries. If you need to cancel a service for any reason please supply me with at least 24 hours notice so I can book someone in from the waiting list. 17.01.2022 The stormy weather and thunder we're currently receiving around CQ can be very distressing for our loving pets. Amongst other things, dogs have been known to jump over or dig under fences that would normally contain them, to escape loud noises. Here are our top tips to help keep your pets safe: * To prevent your pet from running away, keep them safe and calm in doors. * Let your dog be with you (or someone responsible) and try to be calm and normal. * Avoid fussing over your ...pet excessively but try to engage them in normal activities such as playing. * Reward your dog for their calm behaviour. * Close the blinds/curtains, create a safe, comfortable hiding placeput on some music/TV to help mask the noise outside, and distract your dog with games and food. * Dogs who panic can choke themselves on a collar or lead, so never tether your dog during these times and never use a choke chain to restrain your dog. * Make sure your pet is micro-chipped and wearing an ID tag, and that your contact details are up to date on the microchip register, in case they accidentally escape. 13.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who sent well wishes inboxes txt and phone calls, after a few jobs this morning I called past home and noticed one of the dogs had gotten the chicken scraps I was yet to take down the back for the chickens, and in that was 2 corn cobs, for anyone unaware corn cobs can not digest in a dogs stomach they have a risk of chocking or intestinal blockage, since both were not chocking theirs a high risk their could be a blockage and not sure who ate what had to take them both, I was 98% sure it was cash so we gave him the injection to induce vomiting and after 20mins and me holding his ears back over a bucket lol I guessed the correct dog, he ate the corn cobs. His now home and feeling a little sad and sorry for himself but Im glad the injection worked Thanks to Yeppoon Veterinary Surgery you girls are amazing

THESE ONLY TWO 6-8 WEEKLY GROOMS UNTIL CHRISTMAS If you havent booked your summer/Christmas appointments yet there will be a slim chance of getting a last minute appointment during December.... Many customers are pre booking so I highly recommend booking with your groomer ASAP Your pooch will look great for santa photos and they will love you for it

This also means its the start of grooming those winter coats off and prepping for summer, so please if you have not done so, check in and book those pups in. 05.01.2022 Is your dogs and cats flea and tick control up to-date ?? Ticks can lead to serious health problems and even death if your pet isnt properly protected. After attaching and feeding, a paralysis tick starts producing a potent toxin that affects the animals central nervous system and causes progressive paralysis and possible death. My recommendation in flea and tick control is Nexguard and Bravecto If you would like a tick remover I have some for FREE!!
