Social media can be our downfall if following trash of self gratifying narcissistic individuals who really suffer with their own insecurities whilst their messages or captions leave you baffled. Then again the double end sword is social media can benefit us to learn from others who mean well, individuals who can inspire, send the right message across without making you feeling like sh1t (shout outs down below 2 friends, peers and game changers). Warning if youre following someonenthat post selfies of themselves chances are they lack any substance or intelligence that will help you. So take note and remember this when you try to reach you #destination :the #fitnessjourney wont be easy, a few bumps on the way which is a good thing cause we all need to be challenged in making a better you. These lifes experiences are game changers, that makes it all worth it. But enough about me, here’s Alex’s 1FITCookie story: Many years ago I had a wake up call and realised I really needed to do something to change how I was looking and feeling so I nervously joined a gym and signed up for a training sessions. Im forever grateful that the session was with Mike. Training with Mike has been one of the most challenging but rewarding experiences. Mike possesses an uncanny abil...ity for working out your limit and then pushing you to your own personal threshold. I have achieved so much more than I ever would have believed possible. Not only has Mike helped me lose a tonne of weight, get healthier and fitter, more importantly he has given me the confidence and drive to keep going. I have come back to him time and time again over the years and he has helped unfailingly. Mike has a holistic approach, he finds out about your health/injuries and then tailors a workout around you that is constantly varied so you are never bored. Mike is always professional, on time and manages to keep me looking forward to my next training session. If you’re looking for a trainer that inspires you, gives you training sessions with great results and are a lot of fun, I couldn’t recommend Mike more.

08.01.2022 Cheat Meals and Cheat Days How about we dont let these phrases make it into 2019? These concepts are plain dumb.... Let me be the first to admit that I have done cheat meals. Not only that, let me be up front and say that I have recommended them. Why? Because when I was younger, the people in my position now Were morons. They hadnt bothered to read research. & they taught me BS. They are the so called experience coaches of this world. Yeah well, look at the results I get. With his genetically gifted, steroid enhanced athletes. Trololol Cheat meals/days do NOT boost your metabolism. Soz. Just a fact. They do NOT mean that the Calories dont count because you eat them in a small window. These stupid ideas can literally undo all of your efforts. They did for me when I was competing as a Bodybuilder. They also led to me having a pretty damn poor relationship with food. Hello borderline eating disorder They literally have no physiological benefit ...and they quite clearly have physiological AND mental drawbacks. So, please, lets stop using this terminology. Carb ups? Cool Refeeds? Cool. Breaks from your normal routine? Cool Untracked yet sensible meals for those who track? Now conjunctivitis with mild asthma to reoccur in the #summer Whats that all about??? Injuries suck especially the setback it puts on one self. All jokes aside I can walk properly again without trying to imitate some some 70s New York pimp #walk I now have the ability to do a plantar flexion action (tip toe) and demonstrate to my #clients how to do a lunge.
