Try this easy recipe 1 cup Epsom salt cup baking soda 4 tablespoons ground ginger Essential oils of choice (but we recommend lavender or eucalyptus)... Fill your bathtub with hot wateras hot as you can tolerate it. Once it fills about halfway, sprinkle in your ingredients and give it a few big stirs with your hand to help it all dissolve. Then when its full, get in and submerge yourself to your neck. 22.01.2022 There are many simple and easy remedies that you can do to help ease the symptoms of a cold, heres a few of my favourites: Manuka Honey is amazing, its great for a sore throat and helps the lymphatic system to get rid of any baddies circulating around. It has great antiviral properties and can be taken in warm water with some lemon, a spoonful straight in the mouth is my favourite option or you can pop it on toast for little people to make it an easy way to get it in. What...ever way you take it just make sure its a high quality with a good UMF or MGO. Steaming Shower Popping some eucalyptus oil on the floor of the shower is a great way to help reduce congestion and break up any mucous. Try making your own shower steamers this winter. Chest Rub using a chest rub or poultice to help ease chest congestion is another easy way to fight off cold and flu symptoms. A vapor rub generally contains ingredients with decongestant and soothing effects, such as camphor, menthol, and eucalyptus oil. 17.01.2022 Help boost your immune system with a nutrient dense hearty meal such as a stew. Stews are a great way to get heaps of nutrients in and keep you warm on the inside too. Heres an easy and tasty Mococcan Lentil and Vegetable Stew - full of spices and veggies to help fight off any cold and flu bugs heading your way. Mococcan Lentil and Vegetable Stew INGREDIENTS... 2 Tbsp olive oil 1 brown onion 4 cloves garlic, minced 4 ribs celery 1/2 Tbsp ground cumin 1 tsp turmeric 1 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper 1 can chickpeas 1 can diced tomatoes 300gms cauliflower florets 6 cups vegetable stock or paste 1 cup brown lentils 1 bay leaf INSTRUCTIONS Dice the onion and mince the garlic. Saut both in a large pot with olive oil over medium heat until softened. Dice the celery while the onions and garlic are sauting, then add to the pot and continue to saut for 2-3 minutes more. Add the cumin, turmeric, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper to the pot. Stir and cook the spices with the vegetables for 1-2 minutes. Add the diced tomatoes (with juices), chickpeas (rinsed and drained), and cauliflower florets (no need to thaw). Stir the pot until everything is well mixed. Add the vegetable broth and bay leaf, turn the heat up to high, place a lid on the pot, and allow it to come to a boil. Once it reaches a boil, add the lentils. Stir and let it come back up to a boil, then turn the heat down to low. Let the stew simmer on low, with the lid, for 30 minutes. After simmering for 30 minutes, the lentils should be tender. Remove the bay leaf and give the stew a taste. 17.01.2022 Today I realised how much I need exercise in my life. Over the past months I have been busy training people and seeing patients in clinic. This week I have had to stop and reassess everything due to stage 4 restrictions in Melbourne. What I couldnt understand was why I felt so tense and overwhelmed with a lot less work on my plate. Today I actually felt the urge that I needed to run and get this feeling out of me. I was spot on, as I ran I felt so much calmer and better in ...my body. When my hour was up I came home and thats when it hit me - exercise is something that I cannot live without. Neutrophils: Healthy people have up to 5000 of these guys in every drop of blood! Neutrophils are the workhorses of the immune system and theyre first on site if there is an ...injury or infection. There are different types: B Cells, T Cells and Natural Killer Cells (this is their actual medical name!)
