03.01.2022 Today, MacKillop received an Indigenous Message Stick from St. Peter’s Tuggerah. Traditionally, Message Sticks are used to communicate messages and invitations ...between groups and clans. This Message Stick will remain in our care for the remainder of the term and will then be passed on to another local Ngara school. Its final destination will be Wyong High School, in time for the Ngara Awards of Excellence in December. Our Primary students accepted the Message Stick on behalf of the College, listened to an Acknowledgement of Country and an explanation of the significance of these artefacts, before pledging guardianship until its journey to its next destination. #mackillopwarnervale #mccculture #darkinjungland
