21.01.2022 Hello to all the Adventurous kids out there, I am happy to announce that as the current restrictions for Covid-19 are reduced we will be able to now return to face-to-face Scouting at the Hall and beyond for Term 3. Now is a great time to join Scouting and get in on the fun and adventure away from the digital world.... New friends are there to meet you, new challenges both big and small are waiting to be overcome, and new skills are ready to be learnt! The best bit? What those challenges are is entirely up to you and your friends. With support, guidance and help from your leaders, there is no limit to where you can go! Email [email protected] if you would like to try out Scouting or would like more information.
19.01.2022 It’s almost time to go back to school! Scouts will be back on the 3rd and Joeys and Cubs on the 4th of February! Those old enough to be Venturers should also be organised enough to already know when you start...... Looking forward to seeing you all again for another fun and exciting year PS. If you can not make it back, have moved, changed phones or emails, please PM me so that we can update your details. Thanks, Rikki.

18.01.2022 Hi Mums, Dads and Carers. We're living through times that create feelings of sadness and anxiety for us as adults, but can be just plain scary for our kids. They're listening to our conversations and they know it's the only thing in the news right now. If you haven't already seen this, the ABC's Coronacast did a special on Friday, answering kids' questions directly. I found it really useful, but have a listen first to see if it's appropriate for your kids. (Maliki)

09.01.2022 Happy Easter from Quokka and Family
08.01.2022 Venturers enjoyed a walk along the river last night. More than just a stroll along the levy, they were searching for campsite items and had to get everything to Wagga Beach to set up a simulated campsite. Scooter decided he wanted join the unit, but unfortunately after checking the policy & rules, it turns out dogs aren't allowed to be invested!
07.01.2022 From backyard camping and driveway vigils, to camp oven ANZAC biscuits, 1st Kooringal members have commemorated ANZAC Day and paid respect to the countless brave men and women who have served through the years in our defence forces. We're reminded that it was the diggers who first defined those characteristics that make us Aussies; loyalty, sacrifice, mateship, and a fun loving spirit. Apart but together, show us how you spent the day! #CampatHome2020 #ANZACDay2020

04.01.2022 Staying connected to Scouting through our updated COVID-19 response: The Federal and State Governments have now announced a series of new measures and recommendations to help reduce the transmission of COVID-19. They both share the view that only the most essential face-to-face interactions should continue at this time. This means Scouts NSW will no longer continue any face to face Scouting. Instead, we are activating a series of new channels to enable adults and young people... to stay connected to Scouting over the coming months. At all times, we are guided by our priority to protect the health and safety of all our members. Please continue to check the Scouts Guide to Coronavirus page on our website, which provides the most up-to-date advice and guidelines. We are not closing down. We are moving to a new way of delivering Scouting. Please stay tuned for future updates...

02.01.2022 Scouts isn’t somewhere young people go or something they doit’s who they are day in, day out. Today, we are so excited to be launching Scouti...ng@Home - an online portal which brings the exploration, fun and learning of Scouts to your home, at a time where face-to-face Scouting isn't possible. Scouting@Home includes weekly challenges , an Activity Pack and other fun, self-guided activities to keep our young people connected to Scouting. Fresh content will be uploaded weekly, and if you have ideas or activities perfect for Scouting@Home, share them with us and we'll add them in! Dive into Scouting@Home here: https://www.nsw.scouts.com.au/things-to-do/scoutinghome/
02.01.2022 Each year Scout Groups across the State have proudly participated in local ANZAC Day ceremonies and parades. Current restrictions around gatherings mean we are ...unable to do this in 2020. This year we’re inviting members from all Groups and all Sections to participate in our Camp@Home ANZAC 2020 Experience. To register for the event visit: https://bit.ly/snswanzacexperience Set up your own ANZAC campsite at home, enjoy camp activities and participate in the ANZAC Day end of your driveway Vigil on the morning of 25 April. You can also complete challenges to earn the 2020 Their Service, Our Heritage badge and the Camp@Home ANZAC Experience 2020 badge. ANZAC Day is an important annual event and a timely opportunity to bring together our Scouting community to commemorate, show respect and gain a deeper understanding about ANZAC Day and those who have served and currently serve Australia.
