17.01.2022 Tanya, Jeremy, Kate and Myself are really looking forward to starting our Flying program this week. We will explore flight and how it works. Things are changing, if you have any questions or concerns please talk to a leader. We know your kids and have lots of ideas about how we can support them.
13.01.2022 Pyramios is an extinct genus of diprotodont from the Miocene of Australia. Pyramios is also Graham Dolby's Scout name. Chosing a scout name is part of the journey we take to becoming leaders, as a leader we are not mates or parents to youth members but guides, cheersquad and support crew. Pyramios introduced his new name to the Scouts as we paddled on Googong Dam last week and has invited youth members to shorten his name a little to "Pyrami". ... Welcome Pyrami!
12.01.2022 Dont forget...if you would like to donate toys for Josh's toy drive, you can bring them along tonight.

11.01.2022 Bike night with Sammy! What a sportief!!
09.01.2022 SCOUTS Tonight planned how they would help the joeys learn about canoeing. They allocated subjects so each has a topic to cover. Josh - PFD... Ethan - what to wear Alan - the effect of cold water Miri - the buddy system Meisha - Parts of the Canoe Mattheus - Forward and Backward strokes, what they are for and how to do them. Blake - Protection (sun, insects) and taking care of equipment while we are on a canoe trip. Each scout will need to prepare a short (1-2 minute at the most) presentation to give to the Joeys before we go paddling next wednesday. We have already discussed what needs to be covered but if you are unable to come a series of pictures, short description of what we discussed will allow another scout to help out and cover your section. I have more notes (it seems our scouts enjoyed hot chocolate and left their notes behind.) and am happy to send them to you. Scouts have elected to do an activity next friday also. It will either be paddling or ball games, I will confirm early in the week.
09.01.2022 Joeys and Cubs! This is what we are doing tonight! Don't forget your donations.
09.01.2022 Scouts are paddling at googong north boat ramp tonight.
04.01.2022 Are there any parents and joeys/cubs/scouts who would be interested in helping to send the ADF care boxes at Queanbeyan Post Office? I am thinking AFTER SCHOOL Monday or Tuesday next week. Drop a note below if you are keen. Raksha- caremonkey required?
04.01.2022 Redeem Active Kids vouchers with Scouts by 18 December Friday 18 December is the last day families can redeem their Active Kids voucher with Scouts in 2020. All families who would like to redeem their Active Kids voucher with Scouts must redeem them by this date to ensure they are processed in the calendar year. When redeeming their vouchers online via the Scouts NSW website, all families are reminded to type in their Active Kids voucher number without spaces or symbols. For more information, and to redeem the voucher, go to the scouts nsw website https://www.nsw.scouts.com.au/families-can-redeem-both-act/
