24.01.2022 This confirms our planning for the duration of term 2 scoutingathome At least.

22.01.2022 Lest We Forget. On Monday the Joeys did a craft project guided over a virtual meeting, remembering our ANZACs. We hope you’ll join us in the dawn service Saturday morning from the end of your driveway. Use the ANZAC 2020 app on iOS and Android or use your radio to hear the service. Let us remember and pay our respects to those who have suffered or fallen in wars great and small.

20.01.2022 It’s Spooptober and beware for the Scouts have been making some horrifying craft: paper mache masks! Some glue related splatter damage occurred.

17.01.2022 It’s Clean Up Australia Day! Come on down to Blackburn Lake Sanctuary and help keep our beautiful land free from rubbish which clogs our waterways and kills bird life. Participants get a free sausage cooked by us!

16.01.2022 One of our Joey Scouts making Anzac biscuits on their own! Part of our Scouting at Home program has seen some delicious baking adventures take place, while also talking about the history of the recipe.

11.01.2022 Leo’s second night .... rain stopped and the scouts raced ... well done

09.01.2022 On Monday night the Joey Scout section had a night walk around Blackburn Lake. We saw a Tawny Frog Mouth, 3 Brush Tail Possums and 2 Ring Tail Possums. We admired local hero "Stumpy" who was dressed as a doctor to help with the Coronavirus. A great way to finish Term 2!

07.01.2022 We are closing a week early, with the updated guidance around physical distancing. We hope to see you all around again in term 2, once we know it’s safe for our community to meet again. Missing Scouts? Sign up for the special edition of Jamboree on the Air/Internet. April 3-5. https://www.jotajoti.info/home

07.01.2022 Yum! Our Joeys had a great virtual family pizza night to celebrate the end of term 3. A big Thank You to Phoenix Venturer unit for providing funding to purchase all the ingredients for our Joey Scout families and making the night possible. Scouting is free until early next year. It’s a great time to come along and join in the fun.

05.01.2022 We had a watcher overlooking the bike maintenance night . Well done Leo on organising a fun and informative night

04.01.2022 Did you know: Scouting is FREE until March 2021? We want to make sure all the youth in the community have access to the benefits of Scouting. A good time to bring along a friend! Our youth members are still enjoying games, challenges, and connecting with each other. They're learning, planning, and still having fun, despite the physical distancing regulations. https://www.theage.com.au//scouting-for-adventure-in-the-g

03.01.2022 Our Joey Scouts made the most of a glorious resource just out our front door: Blackburn Lake Sanctuary. They held a scavenger hunt and the Joeys were asked to find the biggest tree. They decided that by linking hands they could measure each tree. This one was the biggest, at 5 Joey Scouts!

01.01.2022 Raffle tickets are due back FRIDAY 31st. We need all tickets and stubs returned, sold or otherwise. 01.01.2022 Due to the impacts of the COVID-19 virus, Cuboree X has been postponed and will not proceed as planned in September/October 2020. The Cuboree team are now planning something very special to mark the 10th Victorian Cuboree, and will share details when the future is more certain. Applications for Cuboree are no longer being accepted. If you have made payments towards attending, a full refund will be provided as soon as we can. Please be patient; it's a big job.
