07.01.2022 As we ease back into a semi-new normal, we are starting our journey back into face to face Scouting. For us this will mean having a number of measures in place to ensure the safety for our members and leaders. To start our planning for returning to face to face scouting, can you please let me know by Sunday evening July 12th if your child will be attending face to face. Safety Measures:... 1. Due to restrictions on numbers allowed into the hall, parents will be unable to enter the hall. If you need to speak to a leader, please either text or phone them on their mobile phone. 2. Due to the number of members we have in each section we will need to implement rotating nights(week on, week off), because of this, you can ONLY attend on the night allocated to you 3. If ANY member of the family (including the youth member) has been sick/unwell, we ask that you do not send the youth member to Scouts until they/family member is better. 4. If you have been in a COVID hot spot we ask that you do not attend scouts for 2 weeks. 5. All youth members are to sanitise their hands upon entry into the hall. Hand sanitizer will be available at the hall. 6. The kitchen is strictly off-limits; therefore all youth members must bring a drink bottle with them. 7. We request that parents encourage their child to maintain social distancing whilst at scouts, this will help us to reinforce it at scout meetings. 8. If anyone in your family tests positive to Covid-19, you need to let the group leader know immediately, as we have procedures/directions from Scouts Victoria that we must follow once a positive test has been identified within our Group. If in the event a member of 1st Bendigo has been identified as being tested positive to COVID-19, we will pass on all contact information in regards to youth members of that section to the relevant public health officials. Each section will resume face to face scouting as follows- (Please note once planning is finished, information regarding start-up will be sent out no later than Sunday 19th July to families) Cub Scouts- Monday 20th July. Scouts- Tuesday 21st July. Venturer Scouts- Thursday 23rd July. Rover Scouts- Wednesday 22nd July. With the ever changing nature of the COVID pandemic, we need to remain flexible; if regional Victoria goes back into stage 3 restrictions then we will have to resume online meetings. It is up to every member, leader and their families to keep each other safe.

05.01.2022 In line with the move from the Victorian state government to start the school holidays on Tuesday, we have made the decision to suspend all scouting activities until face to face learning resumes at schools. If you have any issues please contact your section leaders. We hope you all have a wonderful and safe Easter and look forward to resuming scouts ASAP.

05.01.2022 While the youth members are on holidays, our Venturer leaders have been busy making honour boards for the Grey Wolf Award, Australian Scout Medallion and Queen Scout Award.
