25.01.2022 Paying respects to the founder of Scouting, Lord Robert Baden-Powell.

24.01.2022 Five of our Venturers attended Ventkhana on the weekend, a rally driving event in Bunbury. The track was wet and muddy so they learned how to handle a sliding car at speed around corners. Only a few minor fender scrapes. On Saturday a storm came through the campsite and broke the pergolas and a few tents. The Venturers were placed mid-field after the first day without much chance of gaining enough time to finish in the top three. Congratulations to the drivers of the Wanneroo, Warwick and Mosman bay teams.

08.01.2022 Congratulations to Nigel (cub leader) and Sam (Rover) who recently completed (and passed) the Inside Charge course. The Inside Charge certificate permits the holder to sail in safe open waters. The final day of the 4 day course included a sail out to Carnac Island.

06.01.2022 Last night our leaders and group support committee took some time out to celebrate nearing the end of another scout year at Canning. We sadly farewelled Blue Wren as joey leader including a special presentation from some of the cubs who had made her a rain stick. We also thanked Jeff for his time on the Committee and his dedication to tracking down much needed grant funding for the group. Thanks so much Richard and Kathryn for hosting.

03.01.2022 Our cubs are going a bit batty this term . . . full planner now available on the website - https://canningscouts.org.au///2020/11/2020-Term4-Cubs.pdf

01.01.2022 Thanks to the volunteer grant we went on a kitchen shopping spree this morning to buy some much needed kitchen equipment for the Wilson Hall - just in time for our volunteers to make good use of it for Mud Run this weekend.
