25.01.2022 Have you always wanted to learn how to fly a plane? With the Scouts Australia NSW Air Activity Centre, you can! The Centre has just announced its expanded flight training opportunities, catering from Venturer Scouts through to Leaders and Adult Helpers. The Centre now offers three flight programs: 1. Adult Introductory Flight Training Program for Rover Scouts, Leaders and Adult Helpers 2. Air Venture Introductory Flight Training Program ... 3. Venturer Flight Experience Over the next few days, we'll go into more detail about each of these opportunities. 07.01.2022 The one-day Venturer Flight Experience is a new opportunity at the Scouts Australia NSW Air Activity Centre, introduced to give all Venturer Scouts the opportun...ity to pilot an aeroplane. The Venturer Flight Experience is open to both individuals and groups of 3-6 Venturer Scouts, putting them in the pilot's seat for their first hour of hands-on flying training! Here, Venturers will learn lessons in aircraft ground handling and refuelling, as well as pre-and post-flight briefings. It's essentially a precursor to the Air Venture Flying Camp, where Venturers can continue their training and continue their experiences and learnings. If you're a Venturer Scout on the lookout for your next challenge, why not give it a go?
