15.01.2022 A big thank you to both Sydney Motorway Corporation for the grant and the team from Reliance Roof Restoration who completed the essential roof repairs to 1st Concord's Scout Hall. The building will be 100 years old next year, though the tile roof is from a 1981 addition.

14.01.2022 Our Annual General Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday 2nd May 2017 @ 7:30pm in the Scout Hall. From this meeting you will be able to see what the group has achieved over the past year and gain an insight into what is coming up in the next 12 months. Supper will be served at the conclusion of the meeting.... I hope to see as many parents as possible on the night. Your support is essential to the group and our young Scouters. 13.01.2022 Dragonskin Best Base (Easter Weekend 2018) We won Best Base in our campsite (out of 8 bases) - some consolation but still to achieve the ultimate goal of BB Overall (out of about 42 bases)! There were many hours of designing and making etc! Dragonskin was perfect - we were busy most of the three days but not overrun: cleared 8 teams at the start, then the max waiting time was 28 minutes, which was the next team to arrive just as we started with those 8 at once. ... Weather was glorious - warm and sunny each day, mild at night, with a few sprinkles on Monday morning, but not heavy enough to soak the tents. A previous Dragonskin in the same Forest near Oberon, near Jenolan caves, it got to minus 11 one night! We had a new helper - Steve D. from 1st Bayview Scouts: a veteran of a dozen or more ScoutHikes, with a wonderful costume pool (he is the Stormtrooper in the photos). I ran the office for a day and a half, playing a robot! Everyone had a lot of fun - perfect! Morrie PS... Thanks for the photos. Great work Morrie. I know you spent a lot of time and effort on this. 03.01.2022 Good Luck Morrie. Morrie leaves in just under 2 weeks for a marathon 3 month trip to the USA. He is going to hike part of the Pacific Crest Trail with a former Concord Scout that is now a USA resident... He hopes to do about 265 miles of the 2650 mile epic trek. Then he will be touring the sights taking in his passion for architecture. Have a safe journey... Gavin (GL)
