21.01.2022 Well written SGT Genn. #UnitedWeFight

21.01.2022 Today marks 1 MP Bns formal transition under command of 6 CS Bde. The modernisation of the Australian Army requires enhanced law enforcement capabilities for an increasingly complex operating environment. Synergies between Military Police and the other #Team6 theatre capabilities are designed to counter the growing hybrid threat. Past and present members of 1 MP Bn will be forever grateful for 17 CSS Bdes stewardship. Appropriately, this occasion was marked by a ceremonial parade at Gallipoli Barracks where 1 MP Bn was reviewed by COMD FORCOMD. Well done to all members involved in the parade. #UnitedWeFight #EnableTheForce #GoodSoldiering #ArmyInMotion

20.01.2022 As war becomes an ever more complex array of actors, stakeholders, #criminal elements and threats, its important to remember the basis for our #ethical decision making as a trusted institution. #UnitedWeFight

19.01.2022 Great, balanced view of the diverse challenges facing the world today. Well worth a listen! #PME #GlobalPolitics

18.01.2022 Science Fiction ahead of Science Fact - Is there too much reliance on vulnerable and stressed network architectures? Are we overestimating the impact of emerging technology and our adversaries ability to nullify its perceived decisive advantage? Strategic options require agile capability development, especially for Command and Control systems such as the continuity of evidence and other measures to protect the population.... #UnitedWeFight #LawEnforcement #ArmyInMotion #YourADF Australian Army

18.01.2022 The National Police Remembrance Day is a solemn occasion to honour police killed in the line of duty. #UnitedWeFight

18.01.2022 The best way to generate readiness? Deploy the entire Battalion on Ex Hamel! Some of the highlights: - Partnering with US MP, AFP, QPS, OGA and NGO... - Integrating theatre detention, CPP and TACFOR capabilities - Enhancing the realism and understanding of Human Terrain - Engaging with our Senior Leadership - Supporting the conduct of a safe and secure Ex Well done to all the Military Police who demonstrated our breadth of capability and helped to #enabletheforce on Ex Hamel 18. #UnitedWeFight #GoodSoldiering #ArmyInMotion #YourADF Australian Army

17.01.2022 The Strategy Bridge welcomes Diana I. Dalphonse, Chris Townsend, and Matthew W. Weaver with a look at the "by, with, and through" concept: "Once exclusively the... purview of unconventional warfare and special operations forces, by, with, and through has gone mainstream, but it is not yet found in joint doctrine for conventional warfare. The evolution of the phrase and its individual elements has increased the lack of clarity because of inconsistencies in messaging and understanding of the definitions, responsibilities, progression, and ultimate goal of the approach." 17.01.2022 In this video from the Australian Army, we can see just another way in which the Military Police support operations overseas. During a demonstration in Malaysia, two of our members provide Close Personal Protection to business leaders as part of Exercise BOSS LIFT.

17.01.2022 Well done to all Military Police who supported the Chief of Army Land Forces Seminar 2018. A great demonstration of a combined #MilitaryPolice effort between the DPU and 1 MP Bn. #UnitedWeFight #GoodSoldiering #ArmyInMotion Australian Army

16.01.2022 The promotion of new leaders is both a privilege and a step forward into the future of 1 MP Battalion and the Royal Australian Corps of Military Police. On 30 Nov 2018 the CO had the honour of promoting several members. Well done! to CAPTs Alexander and Taylor, SGTs Spencer and Baldwin, and CPLs Mackney and Walker. #UnitedWeFight #ArmyInMotion #Team6

15.01.2022 The Military Police dogs turn 43 this year. From its humble beginnings on the 5th of September 1977 through to today, the capability has seen significant change. The capability started out as a section of all corps handlers, commanded by a SGT, employed in a security role. The capability is now organised into three fly away teams which integrate into a Joint Task Force. The original members of the section are as follows: CPL Jones and PD BARRON CPL Moore and PD KAN... PTE Donald and PD KHAN LCPL Skinner and PD SAM LCPL Waldron and PD KURT See more

14.01.2022 Delta Company conducted forensic training with a Queensland Police expert this month, focusing on crime scene analysis, fingerprinting and photographing a scene. This training taught our soldiers how to interpret an initial crime scene, analyse and preserve all types of evidence, and capture the scene digitally for further analysis later on. COVID-19 provided a unique challenge to commanders in how to continue training our soldiers, which resulted in CPL Weick, a section commander within Delta Company, developing an online forensic course using the ADELE online learning tool. Moving forward, this will assist 1 MP Bn by having a standardised forensic course that is able to be delivered to every company, and benefit other Army units by providing a forensic and evidence collection capability in the battlespace.

14.01.2022 8th Military Police Brigade 1 Military Police Brigade its not too late to attempt the COs Challenge for August! #UnitedWeFight #GoodSoldiering Australian Army

14.01.2022 The possibility of defeat in war is a reality worth planning for, if only to minimise the damage and allow for a quicker recovery. How do we train to ensure the force has the resilience, discipline and adaptability to re-group and re-fit to fight? #UnitedWeFight

13.01.2022 CO Order of the Day: The victor of the COs Challenge Competition 2018. LT Joshua Jelly is a deserved winner of the COs Challenge through his superior fitness and quality intellectual submissions. #UnitedWeFight #Team6 #GoodSoldiering #YourADF Australian Army

13.01.2022 A great turn out by D Coy at the Legacy Defence Charity Ball, raising money and supporting the families of our veterans. CPL Bulow, in case youre wondering, winning the car raffle does not mean an early retirement! #UnitedWeFight #YourADF Australian Army

12.01.2022 #AusArmy Update | 1st Military Police Battalion (1 MP Bn) has transitioned from 17th Brigade - Australian Army to 6th Brigade. Yesterday a ceremonial parade was... held at Gallipoli Barracks, Enoggera formally recognising the transfer. The transition will ensure the Armys deployable law enforcement capability is best positioned to align and work with other theatre-level combat support capabilities that are already under the command of 6th Brigade. The location, structure and capabilities of the unit will remain the same. #ArmyInMotion #OurPreparedness #OurPotential

11.01.2022 Excellent article on identifying constraints and opportunities within the strategic environment. It reinforces the need to practice the development of military options, within each theatre of operations, and prompts the question: how do we conduct effective #PME workshops? #UnitedWeFight #GoodSoldiering #ArmyInMotion #YourADF Australian Army

09.01.2022 Hosting the Provost Marshal ADF (previous CO 1 MP Bn 2011-2013) provided an opportunity to reflect on the past whilst working toward an exciting future. A superb #TACFOR demonstration by D Coy helped visualise the evolution. The Joint Military Police Unit represents unbridled potential for #MilitaryPolice in industry projects, training/doctrine and strategic reach back. #UnitedWeFight #ArmyInMotion #YourADF Australian Army

08.01.2022 Does added protection always cost flexibility? How does the MP capability complement these new platforms? Comments = Thinking = #PME #UnitedWeFight

07.01.2022 How important is coaching in the Military context? What is the difference between coaching and mentoring? A good article for self reflection. #UnitedWeFight

06.01.2022 1 MP Battalion recently wished one of its best well as she moved into retirement. Mrs Fay Schulz gave the Commonwealth over 30 years of service. 06.01.2022 The Invictus Games is a great event that highlights the determination and sacrifice of soldiers from across the world. The CO and RSM were privileged to witness the #AusVsNZ wheelchair rugby game complete with a Kiwi Haka and, of course, an inspirational Australian victory! Well done to all competitors and other ADF members providing support to #InvictusGames2018. #UnitedWeFight #Team6 #GoodSoldiering #YourADF Australian Army

04.01.2022 The 2018 NATO summit in Brussels met the expectations of many observers who were concerned that President Donald Trumps extemporaneous remarks and actions coul...d weaken and confuse the alliance. The Trump administration worked diligently to frame the agenda around equitable burden-sharing in NATO, sending letters to many allied capitals exhorting them to increase defense spending. 02.01.2022 Tough training that enhances performance under the demanding conditions that individuals and units may face on operations is what we strive for. To that end, three 1 MP BN members recently participated in the Integrated Combat Centre combatives tournament. Notably PTE Karl Palmer placed second in the 80-90 kg weight division. Congratulations to PTE Palmer and "well-done" to all participants. #UnitedWeFight #GoodSoldiering #Team6

02.01.2022 Congratulations to CPL Clementine Lodder who was awarded RACMP 2018 Soldier of the Year. The award, presented by RACMP RSM, WO1 Ken Bullman, was to recognise CPL Lodders professionalism and devotion to duty as part of the Joint Investigations Office in Sydney. At the recent Regimental Dining-in night, Head of Corps, COL Nick Surtees, commended CPL Lodders work in the field of criminal investigation and her high standard of contribution to both policing and extra-regimental duties.

01.01.2022 Every soldier is a sensor and police information is a key ingredient to open sourced intelligence. Criminal trends need to be continuously fed into the operational and tactical targeting cycles. #UnitedWeFight #LawEnforcement
