19.01.2022 The results of the Scouts Australia Resilience Survey are in, and it’s official young people who participate in Scouts have an overall better life satisfactio...n than their peers, and the longer they stay in Scouts the more resilient they are likely to become. This is exciting news for our Scouting community across the country, as it reaffirms what we’ve known for over 113 years Scouting and resilience go hand in hand! We are so pleased to share with you the results of Resilient Youth Australia’s survey into the impact of Scouting on the resilience of young Australians. Check out the key findings from the Resilience Survey https://bit.ly/scoutingeffect #beascout #thescoutingeffect #feefree Ros Spence MP James Merlino

13.01.2022 This time 50 years ago the first man stepped onto the moon. Did you know both Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong were Scouts! Did you also know at the time of the l...anding Neil was an active leader and spoke to the youth at the Utah Jamboree and apologised he couldn't be there but the president had other ideas for him. We are sure that Neil was mis quoted and actually said "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for Scouts everywhere!" See more

11.01.2022 Joey Scouts are our youngest members Joey Scouts are aged 5-7 years. This is the first section of the Scouting journey. Joey Scouts meet each week as a Joey Scout Mob, and wear their Section’s uniform shirt, the scarf of the local Scout Group they belong to, and a woggle to hold their scarf together. For our youngest members, the Joey Scout program nurtures a deeper understanding of the world around them, with a growing awareness of their surroundings and nature, by getting o...ut and about in the community. Joey Scouts can also earn badges through their activities. The highest achievement in the Joey Scout section is the Promise Challenge award. See more

07.01.2022 This weekend our Animal Rescue Craft Group - Goulburn Valley is holding a sew-a-thon to help make some much needed recovery items for our animals injured in the recent fires .. If your a sewer, love knitter or crocheting please come and join us, or even if you can spare some time to come make coffee and cut up material for us that would be great too.

05.01.2022 Scouting empowers young people to make decisions, take the lead and learn by doing. We give them a safe space where they can work with others to plan and embark... on their own adventures, indoors and out. From hikes and bushwalks, to abseiling, canoeing, snow activities, performing on stage and more, Scouts live and breathe adventure and keep fit while doing so. #TheScoutingEffect #ResilientScouts #beascout #scoutsvictoria

02.01.2022 NOT SO SQUEEZY! Last week the 1st Tatura Joey scouts dropped into the Tatura Police Station. Plenty of smiles and conversations. Like how police and the local ...community must work together to improve community safety. Tatura police regularly engage with local youth organisations and primary schools to build relationships and improve the safety of our local young people. This includes the Tatura Blue Light activities. 1st Tatura Scout Group
