25.01.2022 It's crazy to think that this week would have been the annual BPAC 2020 event, and today 1UP Arcade would have been hosting the first 1CC marathon, with players from all around Australia working to complete as many games on one credit in a single day! But sadly, BPAC and the 1CC Marathon, like so many other events, have been cancelled due to covid We'll certainly miss catching up with everyone, but look forward to next year when we'll be even more keen!!... 24.01.2022 By popular request, we are having our first public opening this Sunday the 27th!!! The hours will be from 10AM to 6PM, with our usual all-day free-play pricing of $18 for unlimited Arcade or Pinball, or $28 for both! We ask for everyone's help to be mindful of hygiene and to respect others, by ensuring you wash your hands upon arrival and departure, use the provided hand sanitiser, and leave a one-machine distance when playing with anyone you didn't travel with.... We can also clean down the controls of any game upon request and have gloves available should you wish to wear them while playing. Otherwise, it will be great to open up and share this amazing arcade with everyone again. It's been toooo long! Thanks everyone for your support during this time and please share this post with anyone you think needs an arcade fix!

20.01.2022 Hi all, I hope you have been keeping well and staying healthy! We're starting to get daily questions of when we will be back open, so I thought I'd make an update post. We are still CLOSED, and we have no date as yet as to when we might reopen. However as soon as we have a date for opening back up, we'll be sure to post it up so everyone can be there for the reopening!... Thanks once again for everyone's support over this time, and we certainly hope to be able to share Australia's largest arcade with you all again soon! Stay safe! Stephen Holmes

11.01.2022 This time tomorrow we'll be open to the public for the first time in 6 months! Crazy eh! We're excited to be able to open the doors again, if only just for one day at this stage. So join us tomorrow (Sun 27th) between 10am - 6pm for unlimited arcade fun! Our normal free-play pricing applies, which is $18 for all-day arcade or pinball, and $28 for both (kids pricing is $15 & $25 respectively).... No bookings are required for tomorrow's session. Game on!

11.01.2022 Hi all! I know it's been a while since our last update, and we are literally getting messages every day asking when we will be reopening. Firstly, we would love to thank everyone for their continued support and patience during this time. Covid has presented an array of unique challenges for everyone, and we all must move forward in the best way we can while staying safe. We have a number of challenges to overcome for reopening in the current covid environment which have lead ...to delays in being able to open our doors and once again share this great arcade. For the time being, with the reduced visitor number we would most certainly receive during this time, it does not make it feasible for 1UP Arcade to reopen at present. However in until we can make a full reopening possible, we are working on some new pricing for private full venue hires of the arcade for organised social groups, clubs, work functions and parties. We should have some detailed information on this to share soon...

09.01.2022 Keep a look out later this afternoon as we turn on the machines at 1UP Arcade for the first time since closing on March 23rd! Together with a special guest, we'll be doing some high score plays, and general streaming of the arcade!!!

08.01.2022 1UP Arcade may still be closed, but that doesn't mean we aren't going to celebrate our 3rd birthday, and that also means the crowning of our annual Gamer of the Year! To say it's been a wild ride since we opened in May 2017 would be an understatement. However we're so proud of what we've acheived with the arcade, and all the great classic arcade and pinball titles we've been able to bring the Brisbane community. We've also seen some passionate and dedicated players who have visited the arcade regularly, and have been a vital pillar of our community. So stay tuned for the upcoming announcement of our 2020 Gamer of the Year :-D

07.01.2022 OK, we may not be fully open to the public yet, but we're pumped to announce that we'll be taking private bookings of the whole 1UP Arcade venue! So whether it's a work function, social meet-up group, birthday party of just a bunch of friends for a group catch-up, you can now hire the ENTIRE ARCADE, pretty much any time from Monday to Sunday!
