This is a topic I am passionate about, having family members and myself impacted by depression, at some point in our lives, I am here to say undoubtedly that asking R U OK is NOT enough... when someone says they are not okay...do you know what to do? Do you act? Or are they empty words? If youre also not okay, its okay to share this with someone who is struggling, they will benefit from knowing theyre not alone in the feeling. If youre unable to offer support becau...se you too are struggling, know this is okay, self-care is super important. But please do not ask someone if they are okay if that is all you intend to say or do. It is not helpful. If you genuinely care and have the capacity to support - then be there to listen, offer practical support, kind words, call and check in, or visit, organise a special outing - even if its a walk or sit in sun with a cuppa in the back yard. 14.01.2022 Thanks to the RARE ladies who quite literally filled my cup today. It was so nice to meet couple of new and incredible women, and see many beautiful familiar faces too. Such an awesome bunch of women. A big thanks to Kerri from Nana Doriss Tea Trolley for the delicious loose leaf tea...I may have even purchased some of the turkish delight tea, it was so robust and flavoursome! 01.01.2022 #mindsetMonday #PersonalShare Ive been going through some challenges more recently on a personal level, however having a growth mindset has helped! ... Growth mindset aids business owners to get through the hard times. Stretching yourself and sticking to it, even (or especially) when its not going well, is the hallmark of the growth mindset. Ive been called tenacious, persistent, focused and driven by managers in previous positions. I believe growth is a never ending journey... and one that cant be done alone! Im grateful to all of those incredible people who have contributed to my business journey, without all of my fellow business collegues, friends, family and mentors to provide guidance, kindness and support, I dont know where I would be without you all...so big thanks.
