17.01.2022 It is great to have so many good stories from our support programs in 2020 especially with the Coronavirus affecting people worldwide. In 2019, Volunteer Vietnam started supporting children, disadvantaged people and some communities in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam and a year later, we are so very pleased to see the changes in these communities. We are very proud to be associated with Volunteer Vietnam and giving them vital support so they can continue making huge impro...vements to many people's lives and putting smiles on faces that were previously affected by living with severe disadvantages with shelter, hygiene, food, clothing and education. This support is giving people better opportunities in life. Congratulations and a huge thanks to Viet, Marg and the whole team at Volunteer Vietnam for this successful project and all of the other projects that are being conducted throughout Vietnam. 05.01.2022 Community Support continues . . . 1-World Charity Shops, through our loyal customers and supporting partners around South East Queensland are very proud to continue providing vital financial and physical support to our communities. Over the past month in Brisbane, 1-World Charity Shops has connected with the 4 following organisations;... 1. 4 Voices - Helps girls and women who experience social isolation, domestic violence and/or homelessness. 2. Mission possible - who provide sewn hospital bags, nursing home packs, dolls for kids and clothes for residents, patients and kids. 3. Family and kids care - provide emergency assistance accommodation, family support, educational and development programs. 4. Hope Foundation - Provide solutions, counselling and support to women living with major life changes as a result of domestic violence, homeless, addiction and associated challenges. 1-World is also very proud to continue supporting a few communities overseas that are doing it tough, especially with Coronavirus impacting current support programs. On top of the fantastic work being achieved by Volunteers Vietnam and the Nan Ai Orphanage, 1-World Charity Shops have delivered dozens of food packs and around 100 cartons of water bottles in the last month to families and communities in desperate need in Vietnam and Malaysia. We take this opportunity to thank all staff and volunteers at 1-World Charity Shops at Browns Plains and Underwood (soon to open) for their hard work and dedication. We are so grateful to the local community shopping at Browns Plains and their custom is vital to continuing successful community support programs.
