20.01.2022 Something I have been aware of for the past 20 years as my role of a children's entertainer. So sad a consequence of this material narcissistic society.

18.01.2022 For the Aborigines of Australia, storytelling and song are considered a cultural necessity. Passed down through the generations, they carry the history and wis...dom of the ancestors, and explain their own creation and relationship to the elements and the landscape. The songs of the Aborigines can also be painted because they are actually maps of the landscape. An elder who has never been to a place can navigate their way there if they know the shape of the song. Each word and rhythm represents a tree, stone, or curve in the earth, making a ‘songline’ which they can follow to their destination. This living archive is made up of 270 distinct languages and about 600 dialects, but "language differences between tribes are not a barrier because the melodic contour of the song describes the nature of the land over which the song passes. {Bruce Chatwin, Songlines} These storied songlines originated in the ‘time before time’ that is known as the Dreamtime. We can imagine how, many moons ago, the ancestors had very little impediment to their dreaming and received clear transmissions explaining their origin and the way creation required them to walk in the world[] Excerpt From: Toko-pa Turner. 01.01.2022 The Canadians agree - No screen time before two-years-old in their new recommendations "There is no good evidence that infants and toddlers benefit from solo sc...reen time. Some studies have found that preschoolers can learn from screens, but only if the digital content is high-quality, educational and dolloped out judiciously by moms and dads with the self-control of hunger strikers at a buffet. The youngest children cannot learn from screens. They’re not developmentally ready to transfer what they see on a screen to real life, said Michelle Ponti, the London, Ont. pediatrician who chaired the digital health task force that researched and wrote the new Canadian guidelines. We do know what does benefit early learning and that is face-to-face, live interactions with an engaged parent or other caregiver, Dr. Ponti said"." https://www.theglobeandmail.com//misadven/article35168281/
