20.01.2022 On 16th March 2017, my younger brother Joe Fatnowna and I sat down together to talk about how do we tell the 90 stories of the 114 South Sea Islanders buried in... the Mackay Cemetary (M&K helped raise the funds for Madassia to which we handed over for them to finish their headstone project)....M&K Project Researcher Imogen Healy (Bach of Town Planning, Bach of Environment Science), had put together these records for our 2016/2017 RADF project. This is were the dream, the idea, and the vehicle to tell our 90 stories was developed "The Kanaka Proud Cup" (targetting the Cutters 10 years anniversary game against Capris to be played at the Mackay Stadium 2017, Mesh & Knots Mackay connected with RASSIC to link with the young people of Rockhampton to play a Rugby League Game against Mackay young people the match would be the curtain-raiser game for the Cutters and Capris.
