23.01.2022 On Saturday, November 21st the Rotary Club of Dalkeith are holding a Christmas Stall from 9 am -5 pm in the Claremont Quarter (outside Coles Supermarket) in ai...d of the Nokor Tep Women’s Hospital in Cambodia. All proceeds will go towards providing baby cots and an incubator. On sale will be beautiful silk items made by the women of Tabitha, Cambodia, candles, homemade jams, preserves, chutneys, and Christmas cakes.

17.01.2022 A few activities at the shed were busy this week including our bee boys, 88 bikes now delivered to B4H and a German lunch!

16.01.2022 Today we had a special morning tea celebration for a special Shed member: Noel Hickman quietly turned 80 (yes, eighty!!!) earlier this week which would have gone unnoticed if it hadn’t been for his lovely daughter who surprised all of us with a nice chocolate birthday cake . Many happy & healthy returns, Noel!

15.01.2022 Going, going, gone! Sold out of Bacon & Egg rolls and Peter‘s Xmas Shortbread half an hour before the end of our first SCMS Open Day - a sure sign of a successful event for our Kitchen Team. Well done all !!!

11.01.2022 More bikes getting fixed today for delivery to Bicycles 4 Humanity. We have so far donated 70 bikes since July 1. Can someone get Mark a chair!!

08.01.2022 Yep, we’ve done it again! The German Food Festival left all attending shed members excited and raving about the quality of the food and beer. Well done Chef Robert Binks, you can call yourself an honorary Bavarian now! And Russell owned the Weißbier bar in some style. Next up is Japanese Food by Chef Bill Macleod on Tuesday, 10th November at the Men’s Shed.

03.01.2022 Sushi rice, spring onions, wasabi - we are on the Japanese Food Trail right here at the Showgrounds Community Men’s Shed! Chef Bill has pushed the bar higher again with his menu of assorted sushi, gyoza and chicken yakitori and the members embraced the bold flavours and great company. Chef Russell will be taking US back to European cooking in 2 weeks time with his Mediterranean Surprise menu. Make sure you put this in your diaries!
