19.01.2022 Today we visited dietitian Megan Bray and had a great time discussing nutrition and healthy lifestyle. We talked about metabolism, food groups, fibre, GI, taste buds, habits, and moving away from processed foods. Megan is going to help us in the coming months to expand upon these areas and share them with you all in a way that is simple and easy to do. We followed our session with a healthy lunch at Kunara cafe. Here we tried some yummy new foods.

01.01.2022 End of year parties, Christmas and New year are all coming very soon. We tend to overindulge with all the special foods at this time of year but it is possible to enjoy some healthy options and share them with all of your family and friends. Why not lead the way and create a health revolution in your world! Looking for ideas? Why not try fruit kebabs, finger sandwiches, filo tarts, fruit ice blocks, rice paper rolls, flavoured waters and fruity punch these should get your creative juices flowing. Stay tuned for more ideas in the coming weeks. Kate Paterson
01.01.2022 Do you have a friend, colleague or family member who loves to move and has a disability? The Movement Studio is starting a pioneering class Music Muscles Mind a...nd Mat on Sun March 8th 1-4pm. MMMM is a pioneering class combining effective bodywork moves with music and motivational instruction in order to build mind body connection, strength and agility. Classes have been specifically designed for those with a disability who love to move and have some experience in movement. Sessions take place on a fitness mat and progress through a carefully considered series of static and dynamic postures that are both fun and challenging. By initially staying on an individual mat, participants are able to tune into their own body which in turn allows individual goals to be set and achieved. These may be in relation to things like agility and strength or alternatively focus and breath. A sense of comradery is encouraged amongst the group. Sessions numbers are kept small (Max 6 participants) to allow for plenty of individual feedback. NDIS funding can be used for sessions in the area of capacity building. PLACES ARE FILLING FAST so please get in touch by messaging me here if you are interested to join!
