14.01.2022 I have noticed since starting to research when Bushy Creek School was first established, various articles on Trove website mention the year 1924. However, I have a copy of the first student register for Bushy Creek School in 1923. This is why we have decided to hold the Centenary in 2023. We know that W. Mildren opened up his house and invited the local children to start receiving an education. Bushy Creek School was built shortly after and by the looks 1st day of in the school building was 27th August 1923.
