The available position is part-time at our Bonnells Bay Hospital with an average of 23 hours per week. These shifts will consist of 3 week days and 1 in every 6 weekends and also has the opportunity to pick up extra shifts. Essential attributes and skills:... - Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing - Minimum 2 years’ paid nursing experience in a veterinary clinic - Sound knowledge and experience in monitoring anaesthetics - An extensive knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures - Experience in IV catheter placement, blood collection and fluid therapy - Experience in radiology, in-house blood testing and other pathology procedures - Sound knowledge of drugs, medication and over the counter veterinary products The successful applicant will possess: - Excellent customer service skills and confident when dealing with customers - A positive, can-do attitude and able to work well within a team - Attention to detail and someone who takes pride in their work and maintenance of all hospital areas - Always maintains a gold standard of patient care - Exhibits common sense, initiative and always willing to jump in when needed to help out - Excellent time management skills and has the ability to work well under pressure - Flexible, adaptable and willing to further their skills - Has the ability to mentor and supervise junior nurses. 14.01.2022 **Update - Thank you to everyone for your concern and for sharing this post. Unfortunately this little one passed away from the injuries he had sustained and we could not save him. We are so glad that he was at least in our care, out of pain and was not alone.** Does anyone recognize this cat? It was found in Morisset, you may have seen it on the Cbong community page. We really need to find an owner as it requires urgent veterinary treatment. We have given pain relief, plenty of cuddles and it is comfortable and safe for now.
