25.01.2022 Duncan the dog made an appearance this week in a Grade 2 Maths lesson. Miss Leah White’s students recall (with mighty expression!) they had to 'cut Duncan in half' and then, put him 'back together' by identifying, ordering and writing numbers. Thankfully, Duncan is now whole again and students in 2A have a solid grasp of 2-digit numbers!

24.01.2022 Give me 5! Miss Kellock has her 'hands full' today! The Preps are investigating their sense of touch. Key vocabulary includes: soft, hard, sharp and smooth. Students are using their third hand prompt to determine the texture of substances such as rice, sand and other notable items in the Science room.

22.01.2022 It's celebration day for Adelaide Community Group. Congratulations to all members of Adelaide on reaching 10,000 Gotcha points! Violett, Luca, Liza and Bohdi are oh so proud!

16.01.2022 This Monday, students and staff will meet in Community Groups to celebrate Live School progress, showcase student achievements and build Community Group spirit. Mr Judd met with the Community Group Leaders this morning to brief them on the meeting schedule and the role they will play as hosts. We look forward to Monday's gatherings!

16.01.2022 Grade 6 dined on a delicious selection of breakfast options this morning, including: pancakes, egg and bacon roll, yoghurt and berries, and hash browns. They also found a special Graduation biscuit in their bundle; thank you to Jenni for her meticulous preparation of food and drinks for our students - along with her helper, Sheree.

15.01.2022 The Grade 6 team and students extend a big thank you to this year's Graduation Award Sponsors; your support and interest in the achievements of our students is sincerely appreciated.

12.01.2022 Some reminders for Grade 6 parents . . . from Duncan: The end is near! Just a reminder of arrangements for tomorrow:... - whole school assembly at 9am - parents are UNABLE to attend due to Covid-19 Guidelines - 9.30am (approximately) - Guard of Honour for Grade 6 - parents are VERY WELCOME to attend - following this, parents are WELCOME to take their student home as all formalities will be over. However, we will continue to provide supervision for those students who must remain at school until the 1.20pm dismissal - Webex Assembly at 11am; to announce Kiwanis Student of the Term + Gotcha raffle winners (details of log-in will be posted to Compass later today). Students are invited to wear casual clothes tomorrow, with a 'touch' of Christmas. If students would like to have their Grade 6 shirt signed, they can also do this tomorrow morning - as communicated previously. Kind regards, Jo, Krissy, Sheree

12.01.2022 Today's news from Andrew

06.01.2022 So, it appears Duncan is the mathematical celebrity of 208 at the moment! Just in from Miss Lourey, snaps of her scholars working on their number identification - inspired by the sausage!

06.01.2022 And in a final hurrah, Grade 6 ventured to Murray Life Adventures today to participate in activities such as bush surfing, archery, a giant swing, the flying fox and an obstacle course. Similar to yesterday's conditions - IT. WAS. HOT. Congratulations to students for staying hydrated and giving the activities their best.... Don't forget to unpack your wet things, kids!

04.01.2022 A reminder of tomorrow's rest day for all Prep students

03.01.2022 Miss Fitz' is her name and the Arts is her game! The Grade 6 Arts Gallery is established and the team look forward to filling the space with a collection of student work from all strands including: visual art, dance, music and drama. Pictured is a canvas work completed by Miss Fitz' Arts Club in 2020.

02.01.2022 'Get out of my house' is a popular and trusted number game that can be played at home. Miss Lourey's Prep students used the game to improve their number identification, subitising skills (the automatic recognition of a collection of objects e.g. dots on a 6-sided dice) and co-operative learning capabilities. And didn't they delight in kicking their opponent out of their house!

02.01.2022 'Christmas isn't a season, it's a feeling.' So many children in our local community will be spoilt this Christmas! What an amazing collection of gifts beneath our Christmas tree. Thank you, 208.
