08.01.2022 A big congratulations to Dr Dinesh Palipana, who has been named Queensland's Australian of the Year! Dr Dinesh was the first quadriplegic medical graduate and medical intern in Queensland and is now researching a bio-spine to help people with disabilities walk again. Working as a senior resident doctor at Gold Coast University Hospital (Gold Coast Health), Dr Dinesh is also a recent law graduate and the doctor for the Gold Coast Titans physical disability rugby league team - what an incredible career and achievement!
